1,91 cm = 6'3" feet. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and was invited as a wild card on the Chinese '"Singer" show which is a singing competition between already known professional Chinese singers. As this was the first performance on the first show of the season, he was greeted heartily by the audience made up mostly of professionals from the music industry but he was totally unknown to them and no one had ever heard him sing. After this episode aired, Dimash became a household name in China overnight and was nicknamed "our foreign little brother". To this day, Dimash is a huge star in China. This show aired when he was 22 years old and he is now 28. Dimash has had quite the career since then and he now has millions of fans around the world, from all cultures, languages (he sings in 15 languages but speaks 4), musical background, ages. Whenever he does a live concert, his fans fly in from all over the world. As an example, when he had a solo concert back in 2019 at New York's Barclays' Center, fans from 54 different countries flew in to see him perform live. As a confirmed metal head I am now a Dimash Dear and you would not believe how many metal reactors have fallen down the Dimash rabbit hole. He's Kazakh but was appearing on a Chinese show consisting of professional artists competing against each other. Dimash was the youngest performer in the history of the show. All of the many, many songs on his official channel have subtitles provided by his different fan clubs from around the world. For your particular tastes I would heavily recommend you reacting to Durduraz, especially the latest version dropped to his channel from the Almaty concert in September 2022.

Dimash is 6’3” he started his vocal training at age 5 years old. At the time of this competition he had 6 Octaves plus 2 half notes. Currently last I heard he now has a vocal range of 7 Octaves plus half notes. Still training his voice pushing his limits. Dimash has perfect pitch. He can sing any genre he chooses and mixes them in any song that he wants. In this SOS he mixed Opera & Pop. You might want to research him, he sings in 12 languages. He is from Kazakhstan. You might want to watch together him sing Sinful Passion with English subtitles. The subtitles would be important as you are a couple. Very romantic.

Thank you for your great and authentic reaction to Dimash. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and he currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1(B0) - whistle D8 off the piano) At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert). SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. . They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. His concert in September 23, 2022 was amazing. He really gets better and better. If you want to stay in this competition for a while I recommend the second performance, Opera 2, where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. As far as I know, he lived in one house with the whole family, grandparents, parents and a sister and brother. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language and up until then he (almost) didn’t speak any English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 19 so I can imagine…) And after that performance he saw his dad. Indescribably beautyful and emotional. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his style at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that 🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. This performance of SOS was broadcasted January 21, 2017 so Dimash was 22 at the time. He does look tiny on the stage by himself but he is 6' 3 (192cm). This show was called "I Am Singer" Season 5 in China for Established Singers and the majority of the people you see in the green rooms are other contestants. Dimash was brought in as a wildcard that season as he is from Kazakhstan. He was the youngest contestant. He doesn't speak Chinese, barely any English, speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, but he sings in many languages. This song was French. Random tears are quite normal as Dimash is great of getting feelings across even without knowing the words. This song is great, but its only the tip of the iceburg. Welcome to Dimash.

That was a competition of professional singers in China in 2017. It was Dimash's 1st time to compete in China, he was very nervous before he appeared on stage as he was the 1st one to sing on the 1st episode. This young man is a university trained, finished his master's degree with flying colors in the middle of the pandemic. He is now on his way to get his PhD degree. By the way, he will also be heading to the U.S. for a one year internship program as he was granted a scholarshio at the New York Film Academy.

This is a chinese competition between existing well established singers. Dimash, who is from Kazakhstan, was INVITED to participate . He already had a well established career in Kazakhstan and surrounding countries, but agreeing to participate in this competition, launched his world wide recognition. A man called Igor krutoy, a billionaire, came out of retirement especially yo be able to compose for his voice. They are gr8 friends. Now he also produces his videos and films. He leads his wonderfull team, who together produce amazing concerts all over the world! Lastly, Dimash is passionate in trying to make us all up in regard thdcstate of the world. He does it thru his music so pple can see hear n listen - no pressure, just leaves it all in our minds to ponder 4 ourselves. He also really cares about n for people, obviously his (fans) Dears, just see how patient and available he is to those who follow him - airport arrivals n departures r obvious. Just think, that was almost 6 years ago. He has grown up since then and trust me, he can do anything with that voice. He also sings in a lot of languages including English while being fluent in Kazakh and Russian with English becoming a fast third. That little body while slim is 6'3. If you want to hear him sing in English, do Stranger. If you want to see a very profound MV in which he acted, composed and wrote the script, do The Story of One Sky. Keep in mind if you do the Story of One Sky, every voice is his while you may think it is 7 or 8 people. You should of course react to it by yourself. There are many metalheads that constantly react to Dimash because you can not put Dimash in a box. He may sing a ballad one minute, and rap the next. You will miss so much if you do not.

As you appreciate Japanese music you should check out a famous Japanese song cover by Dimash, The Voicebender. It is Ikanaide sung in Japanese at Tokyo Jazz Festival. I don't know if you are also familiar with Ichiko Nito, a brilliant Japanese guitarist. Both Dimash and Ichiko are fans of metal so I would encourage you to listen to more of their work. @@tuttasb Greetings, I am a big fan of both of these artists. I have two favourite guitarists at the moment, Ichiko and Marcin but I think Ichiko is probably the best I have heard so far. I have been a Dear for six years now and there is no-one that can top The Voicebender Dimash. I like the kind of music that Ichiko plays and even Marcin as brilliant as he is, can be a little too strident for me. Check out his 2021 Digital Show version of this song. He's gotten even better! And the stage set is amazing, and there are subtitles available. The lyrics are sad but beautiful. You'll find that every song of his is different. Different genres, different languages, different tones, often all in the same song. He has many songs in English, as well over a dozen other languages. He's not small, although I thought he was too, at first. He's 6'3" and is an ethnic Kazakh from Kazakhstan. He's been educated in music since he was 5, and is now pursuing his PhD in musicology. He's sweet, kind, respectful, funny, and above all, humble. There is no one else on earth like him.

Do not judge a book by its cover. Dimash is Kazak, and Kazakhstan is home. He was appearing in a Chinese singing competition in 2017 for professional Chinese singers. He was not only the first "foreigner" to have ever been invited but also the youngest in the history of the show at 22 yrs. of age. If you want to hear a one-man opera. listen to "Olympico". Whatever you listen to next will not disappoint you. A few of my favorites are, Your Love, Love Is Like A Dream, Sinful Passion, All By Myself, Show Must Go On, yes by Queen, and Ikanaide. Last I heard, he now sings in 14 languages but only speaks Kazak, Russian, learning English and Mandarin. His talent is unmatched and with his global following, he is still very humble and loves his family, country, and his music. A lot of his videos do have closed caption in English. You " ain't heard nothing yet. He hs toured world-wide, even in New York at Barclay Center in New York.

So... This was back in 2017, on the Chinese Singer show, which is a competition for established artists and the audience are not random public but industry professionals. Dimash was invited to perform as a guest competitor - as a friendly nod to China's neighbour: Kazakhstan. Dimash had already won just about every vocal talent show across most of Eastern Europe by then. Here he blew them out of the water. The evening this went to air in China he gained himself several hundred million new Chinese fans. They call him 'Dimashi' in China { & 'little brother' from Kazakhstan } Every performance he gives anywhere in the world now you will see hordes of Chinese fans in the front rows waving neon signs. But Dimash now has hundreds of millions of more fans from just about every country in the world and is acknowledged by industry professionals everywhere as simply the best vocalist on the planet. He has a 7+ octave range and sings in EVERY Genre- often within the one song. It's true that Dimash reminds us that music is a universal language and he can easily make us feel the emotion in the song without knowing the language, but hedoes sing in 14+ languages, you can find most versions where you can put on captions, or find the translated lyrics and download. Great reaction, the part where you started to cry the line was 'why do I live, why do I die'. This is like the voice, except it is with all established singers, people that have been in the business for some time, and Dimash was requested to join, since he is not Chinese, he is from Kazakhstan, so Russian is his first language, as far as I've seen. The request came because he had won some other talent shows in Kazakhstan that were very prestigious and they weren't thinking he would go all the way to the top 2 of the competition, they figured he wouldn't last past the first or second round max, against the established singers. But if you look at his performances, you'll see why he lasted as long as he did. This was his first song in it. He has learned phonetically songs that are in different languages, I think he has sung in 13 or 14 different languages so far. Keep digging into his catalogue, I'm sure you'll find something that just speaks to you!

Thanks for giving this a try even though it wasn't your kind of music. Another Dimash song for you would be "Stranger" the New Wave version. For your girlfriend, "Ikanaide" which is in Japanese and means "please don't leave". This is from the Tokyo Jazz festival though it's not jazz. I think the closest Dimash gets to metal is "Durduraz" which he sings in his native language, Kazakh. As another viewer has mentioned in Spanish, Dimash isn't really small (though he does look small in this video). He is actually 6ft 3! Most of his videos have English subtitles which I recommend using. Enjoy!

This performance was a showcase of how amazing his vocal instrument is. I think he could do metal if it was his thing, but he is more into pop opera and a little bit of everything else. I've heard him rapping and screaming with a raspy voice just because he can do it without ruining his vocal cords. It is worthy to listen to his newer stuff like Stranger, Be with me, The story of one sky (try to watch the music video - he created the whole thing - and a concert version too, just to see how he leaves everything on stage). The guy is also a musician, he is a composer, he plays multiple instruments - he even has a doctorate degree.

If you're not used to Dimash but used to artists that end the song at a climax then I suppose you're going to have that reaction. Dimash sometimes finishes at that point but he'll often bring you full circle and sooth the spirit with a gentle ending. I do find it sad when people box themselves up so much that they can no longer appreciate music for music's sake "because it's not my genre" Dimash doesn't have a genre, he is music.

I grew up with Led Zeppelin as my fav band. They remain my fav all time band. I became a teenager (13) in 1973 and before and after was a great time for music. Sooo much great music and fun times and great concerts. But I have always loved great music of any kind. The classical composers, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, etc., blues, r&b, soul and even some country. Love great symphony productions. Love great singers of any genre Pavarotti, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, Freddie Mercury, Whitney Houston, MJ...so many others because how could u not? And great artists, Muddy Waters, Allman Bros, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more because...how could u not? Some current favorites: Chris Stapleton, HomeFree, NF, Angelina Jordan, Laura Fabian, Morissette Amon, Mariah Carey and many others. What I find hard to understand is how people cannot appreciate obvious true artistic talent regardless of whether a genre is ur favorite? Dude, how could u listen to that performance and be devoid of understanding what u just witnessed? Being a metal fan is simply no excuse. The lady understood but apparently u did not. Dimash (Dee-maash) Kudaibergen (Koo-die-bur-gen) is a once in a lifetime singer. He is simply the most talented singer on this planet. If u dont get that...I dont know what to tell u. It isn't just his range. Far from that. His breath capacity and control, modulation, manipulation of vocal chord positioning, interpretation, blending of styles and techniques, stage presence, emotional connection to the song and not least of all, a humble and honorable human being help make Dimash unique. The countless hours of dedicated practice from the age of 5 (when it was first recognized he had perfect pitch) until now is not comprehensible to most of us. He does it his way, not what record producers think the public wants. Dimash isn't for everyone. I dont even like all his songs or performances (GOD forgive me.) I cringe at times listening to him sing in English. (He is getting better!). Pls stick to Metal. PLEASE do NOT react to any more Dimash just for views. If he isn't ur cup of tea no biggie. SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! SOS is an existentialist song, about ups and downs in life, depression and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. Dimash is a world class artist, turned 28 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, he also performs in concerts with the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He started his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 15 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. How does it feel to be Dimashified? He is truly the greatest vocalist I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. He is also a beautiful person!! Check out more of his catalog he sings in multiple languages many English songs and his octave range is incredible. He is from Kazakhstan. This performance was over 5 years ago. He has done other competitions including one in America called America's Best or something. He dropped out when it was just him and a couple young girls left as he felt it would be unfair and wanted them to have chance to win. He was criticized for it but I praise him. He is not worried about winning he just hopes people enjoys his singing I love him for his modesty and just good nature. He is not typical star he shines so much brighter just being a good person.
