Also to explain the concept of Vision, this is the second instalment of their Apocalypse trilogy. The first, Maison, was a call to action to save our earth from environmental destruction. Vision is about them using their platform and sharing their vision for a better planet. Prior to this they also released songs as part of storylines (their first being the Nightmare series, and then their Dystopia trilogy which focused on anti-bullying in contemporary society). Dreamcatcher is the only girl group I stan. They're just so different and same as you: I also have punk-rock-ish roots. Their title tracks usually have quite some rock/metal influences, though they experiment a lot with other genres on their B-sides. And I feel that people that like ATEEZ, like Dreamcatcher as well and the other way around. Which might have to do with the fact they share some producers. I also absolutely love Siyeon's voice. She's the general belter of the group and just soooo talented. Hope you have fun on this journey!

Dreamcatcher debuted on 13 jan 2017 which was friday btw you know (Friday the 13th) They used to be different group called Minx debuted September 18, 2014 with 5 members but their concept was cute concept. It didnt work out for them. So the ceo decided to redebut under different name and different concept with addition of 2 members. Hence Dreamcatcher is born...

All of their title tracks have a rock element, but they explore all sorts of other styles (very well) in their B sides. They have three storylines so far. The first 6 songs are the Nightmare storyline from their debut in 2017. With Scream they moved to the Dystopia trilogy, which emphasizes social media and cyberbullying, and now they are in the Apocalypse trilogy which is about responding to global warming. The rapper with the deep voice is Dami.

Now is a really interesting time to get into Dreamcatcher. 2022 has been a big breakthrough year for them, and they have been growing from strength to strength. Their European tour is starting soon, you can try to get tickets for London on 22nd November. To me, the essence of Dreamcatcher is their unique sound, and their long, hard struggle for success as a small company gg. Their lightstick is a staff not a spear. It has screw-on extensions, so it can be as long as you want. BTW, watching your reaction to Boombayah was what got me into reaction videos. Regards to Stevie.

Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 "Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!

I love Dreamcatcher's music, then I realised they share producers with my ult (ATEEZ) Dreamcatcher's main producers are Ollounder and LEEZ While ATEEZ's main producers are EDEN, Ollounder, LEEZ and BUDDY (+ Hongjoong) Also, I just think it's kinda funny that they both have a song called "Wonderland" and share those same 2 producer in both songs. The music they make is still very different, though. Dreamcatcher uses a lot of rock and R&B elements while ATEEZ does not at all use rock or R&B.

And oh boy, you're in for a wild ride if you decide to make a journey out of discovering Dreamcatcher, thank you for making this reaction (hopefully the first of many) :)) Title tracks aside, which are awesome, here's some other stuff you might like to look into (sorry if I'm about to overload you, this group feeds us almost too well): a) Guides 1. Currently the most up-to-date group guide (at least that I know of) is "Welcome to the Dreamworld: The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher Guide" by Dreamworld, and it's a great introduction to them as a group. 2. The other long-running intro video I need to plug is Mera's "Dodging Disbandment and Other Extreme Sports", which is the quintessential guide right now to their group history & progression (and it contextualises some of our passion as Insomnia for them). 3. Other people have mentioned Insomnicsy and their "This is..." members guide series, I'm seconding that because they're a great way to get a handle on recognising members. b) B-sides: It's difficult not to say "all of them" with Dreamcatcher B-sides, but I'll do my best: 1. Personal favourites: Red Sun, Jazz Bar, Black or White, Wind Blows 2. The B-sides with self-made MVs (Sahara, Break the Wall, and Poison Love are on their group channel, Curse of the Spider and July 7th are elsewhere) c) Dance Practices: We often point out Dreamcatcher tends towards a more active style of dance than most girl groups, sometimes it's nice to appreciate that in isolation. My 2 favourites I'd say are "Good Night" and "Wind Blows", but you really can't miss with their dance practices. Also, fun fact, SuA (the one wearing the crown in 'Vision') choreographs quite a lot -- just some older examples, she did Red Sun's choreo and also for a "Taki Taki" cover from a few years back, which perfectly segues... d) Covers: I'll just say, it's not without precedent that we call them "Cover Queens" 1. Again, my favourites in this category: Hyolyn's "Blue Moon" (SuA, Siyeon, Dami, Gahyeon), NCT U's "Baby Don't Stop" (Yoohyeon, Dami), and 2PM's "My House" (OT7). Just a point of order: the latter two are live stages. 2. The aforementioned "Taki Taki" cover (JiU, SuA, Yoohyeon) 3. Relay dance for Brown-Eyed Girls "Abracadabra" 4. Past that, they have a full "Special Clips" playlist in their group channel, so just go nuts with that hehehhe So yeah, there's a whole lotta content and then some to be excited about. I am soooo envious of you. I discovered Dreamcatcher in 2020 and have been pretty obsessed with them since. Their music, but mostly their personalities have firmly locked them in as my ult group and I have seen all their online concerts during the pandemic, waiting for things to go to normal so they could tour again and I could see them live. So a year ago, I moved from The Netherlands to Australia, and being there I saw all the announcements coming by: K-pop flex, Primavera, and recently their schedule for the European tour (Including Tilburg in The Netherlands). Sigh. At least I got tickets for their online Halloween concert. You are not going to regret diving down the Dreamcatcher rabbit hole.

Not going to lie, I've been waiting for the day you'd check out Dreamcatcher! 😂 100% support a Dreamcatcher journey! Now is a good time, for sure. Easily their most successful year. The robes and staves are indeed dope. My inner edgelord was beyond happy when I found out that was their official merch. So, I started my k-pop journey a little over a year ago. I actually came across your channel due to one of my first journeys, Black Pink. I've binged a lot of groups since then. I first heard DC mid-December of last year. My music roots are in punk, metal, and techno so I've been hard stuck on Dreamcatcher since then. Everyone else has the details covered regarding songs story arcs, trilogies, etc. What I want to attest is their character. They are very much a "come for the music, stay for the people" kind of group. insomnicsy's KZbin channel has an endless drove of character content. She does an amazing job. To me, they never came off as a k-pop group. They really have the feeling of seven sisters living out their dreams together. However, each member is very much different from the others. They actually enjoy talking about MBTI because they all have unique types. They are unapologetically themselves at all times, for better or worse. This can sometimes lead to some hilarious unfiltered moments. Very relatable. Since they didn't start out with a massive fanbase and their style wasn't popular domestically in the beginning, they have a very sincere and genuine bond with the fanbase that has slowly built over time. InSomnia isn't the largest fandom by any means, but we're a very dedicated bunch who are more than happy to spread the good word of Dreamcatcher and, of the fandoms I've been a part of/experienced, InSomnia is definitely one of the least problematic fandoms. Our main goal is to make sure the girls understand how appreciated they are and to support them in ways so that they can perform and do what they love with as little stress as possible from the fanbase. Point being: Their music is amazing, the girls are amazing, and you won't regret taking a dive. Welcome to the Dreamworld! Excited for more!

If you like this then you should check out "Scream", "Boca" and "Odd Eye" which was the trilogy before this one which is about online/anti bullying. Dreamcatchers lightstick is a freaking cane/staff and they too have a cloak to wear as well. The group debuted in 2017 and got their first award show win with Masion. Couple of the members were originally part of a girl group called Minx. But they werent successful, so they desbanded that group and reimagined themselves as Dreamcather and debuted with "Chase Me".

Yup, storyline. This is the second in the current story. I hope you will check out their song Maison, the first in this story arc. These ladies debuted as DreamCatcher on Friday the Thirteenth of January 2017. Most of them had been a group before that but it was so 'mainstream' (complete 180 degrees from what they are now) that their music was drowned out by all the other mainstream Korean music and groups that had bigger companies and bigger advertising power. I am glad they re-debuted. They picked up a couple of new members, too. :)

DC embued with lore through several series of MVs. If you search "dreamcatcher in order" you get a few playlists to choose from...the only caveat being the Fly High mv is a prequel to the first two "comebacks" in the storyline (some people have placed that MV first, but it was relased third).

This is the song that made me become part of the Dreamworld. There is an elegant badassery to these ladies that attracted me to them. Then I watched their vlogs and they are super goofy behind the scenes whenever they're together. Instant adoration. Please react to Babymetal, I think you'll like them. They are a japanese kawaii (cute) metal band fronted by 3 girls. They've been around since 2011, and have 3 studio albums to their name. Also, they are a performance group, so live is always better. But as your first exposure, I'd recommend Gimme Chocolate or Megitsune (MV or live, both are very good). I guarantee you have never experienced anything like them ever before.

I went from rock/metal to Dreamcatcher. Kpop is not my thing except a few songs here and there but Dreamcatcher... They are doing the thing I like, I'm obsessed with and addicted to. Kpop is meh for me in overall. It's pop music, and my musical past is metal.

After their mood-cradle mod for the light-stick, and the cloaks, they need to release those flags 😢 and maybe a shield for the third part of this trilogy😊 sucks they get relatively low play at home, means the usual way people find out about them is either at a k-con type event or trending here. Their messages have been strong and relevant and positive for the last couple years, before that they were more focussed on a straight mystical storyline. They’e still goddesses / superheroines now, but grounded in discussing things that need attention; which appeals more to me than just bragging or trying to lower others. Maison was climate disaster and greed. Vision seems like global wars and all the fallout from the destruction; a future we’ll need hazmat suits to survive. Glad you enjoyed their appearance in Germany, i believe they’ll be back there on their own soon with a full show. Enjoy the journey either way!

you have so many contents related to them. if you decided to react all of their songs only, one by one per video, I don't think you can do it all completely before their next comeback. aside from their discography, they also have 10 episodes of dreamcatcher mind (their own reality/variety show), and also so many videos from the most famous dreamcatcher related account: insomnicsy. at least you can get individual member's compilation from 7 members and 3 versions each (2020, 2021, 2022) which are 7 mins long each. also, even if you make long video, inSomnia (dc fan) actually will watch it. especially you already have mass viewers already. even yourself won't realize you've spent long time bcs of how hilarious they are as individuals
