I've never known life without Elvis. I was born into a family of Elvis fans and I too became one. He has been with me throughout the good times and the bad. I absolutely LOVE this song and I saw it hit you just like it always hits me when his voice lets out THE ELVIS CRY! The buildup of both Elvis' vocals and the music along with the added power of his vocals is just fantastic!

Other than Einstein, who said that imagination is more important than knowledge; Elvis is the other person I admired because of his humility, generosity, and love for his fans. No other performer had such an impact in the 20th century. I am 84 and still vividly remember the first time I saw and met Elvis. I was 15, and am soon to be 84. Had the opportunity to see Elvis many times, and I agree with the movie producers who said that the energy Elvis projects when performing, is like sensing an earthquake without the threat! And seeing Elvis face to face is like Michelangelo’s David coming to life. Elvis was a MASTERPIECE FOR THE AGES!!! Besides being the Artist of the Century, he is also considered to be one of the top cultural figures of the century!!! It is terrible to realize that Elvis felt that he had never done anything for which he would be remembered!

I will share my Elvis with you CVTEK1 - I love your wonderful comments. Elvis wore pink in the 50’s without care of whether it was a color many guys would ever wear. He wore what he liked and didn’t let that bother him at all. He has always been my favorite vocalist . Thanks for appreciating him as he deserves, I love his music and have appreciated his music since I was about 6 years old and that was 70 years ago. Life long love of Elvis Aron Presley. 🎼❤🙏✝🇺🇸

My daughter is 5yo and she tells everyone Elvis is the best singer in the world, it's so cute. ❤

Greetings from Dublin Ireland , I got my first Elvis Shirt when I was 4 years old . I was 12 when he passed , as a naive 12 year old I wrote a letter addressed to The Memphis Newspapers USA looking for a paper covering Elvis and his death , my mother posted the letter feeling sorry for me and 6 weeks later 2 Memphis Newspapers arrived here in Dublin . I still have them to this day . I'm 60 this year and not a day has passed that I haven't listened to Elvis , no other artist has had this impact on me. Thank you for your channel , I love listening to you . Peter

I have seen this 10,000 times over the past couple of yrs. & will see it another 10,000. It is a song that in my opinion is not given enough play. Everyone wants to see Elvis live, but sometimes, w-some gorgeous photos to accompany a video, you get the chance to really hone in on THAT VOICE. And boy does he ever do it here! Did you pick up on that "up-down" thing he does w-words, & how he makes 2 syllables from a 1 syllable word, & 3 syllables from a 2 syllable word. OMG! How much better can it get. And I've been watching & listening to him since '54 when I was 11, but this to me is the cherry on the cake.
@MMVDupont8 ай бұрын
@carolhayar3037 -- His musical instincts, down to how to pronounce and give sometimes multiple notes, not just one, to each syllable of each word -- and add in slight extra syllabuses or momentary stops here and there based on what would sound just right, or add a certain feeling to a line of a song -- were impeccable, almost out of this world. Considering how much he was self-taught, it's truly exhilarating to hear and appreciate more and more over time. (I am much too young to have known his music in his lifetime, I was born several years after he died, but I have become a great fan over the past couple of years, partly for reasons like you point out!)

Hi CV! I’m 69 years old and have had a strange relationship with Elvis. I was born the year that he recorded That’s Alright Momma! I was two during his breakout year as he shot into stardom, four when he went into the service, six when he returned to civilian life to make movies only. During that 8 year period, the Beatles set the world on fire with a new approach to music and I was the perfect age to get caught up in the British Invasion. Elvis was always in my peripheral. I saw his movies and considered him the ultimate man if not a bit too tame. I was a strange teenager looking back, because I was a patriot and adversely against drugs during the seventies when anti country, sex and drugs were the preferred themes. It was painful for me to admit, but in time I fell out of love (respect) for the Beatles since they became, as I saw, it a bit arrogant for my tastes and I could not support their views on my country or their promotion of drugs. By then, Elvis was in Vegas where he remained until the day he died. During that time, he was completely off my radar. What does a poor kid know about Vegas? Fast forward to 2022. I am 67 years old. My husband has passed away. Though it wasn’t the strongest marriage, I missed the passion that held us together and was left with a heavy sense of emptiness. The internet, sometimes good, sometimes bad, held for me a portal to a new passion when I rediscovered Elvis and down into the rabbit hole I jumped with both feet. Like you, I have felt a weird guilt for not having known all that there is to know about him for I have never known a more engaging subject. I am fascinated in him in every way! Like everyone, his beauty, his voice, his charisma are all factors that hold me to him but I cannot explain why when experiencing him I feel somehow closer to God. My sweet little family doesn’t know what to think of their usually level-headed mother’s new passion so they took me to Graceland. Maybe they thought I would get him out of my system, haha but now, I love him even more. Sorry for the length of this comment CV. I watch many reactors who explore Elvis Presley but it’s you that I chose you to tell my story.❤️

I love the Elvis songs and pictures. They always tell a story with soulful emotion. Not sure if you played “Surrender” when he was 25 years old and had come out of the army. He has such a beautiful voice in that song. Playful and operatic like Mario Lanza whom he loved. Elvis remains alive in our hearts. The Commodores sing a song called “Nightshift” and it’s about the greats who are gone. Lionel Richie was not in the Commodores but the song is a treasure. Thanks for this banger!

I'm 82 and witnessed the blossoming of Elvis' career in the midst of vicious criticism and ridicule. With the 20 years of music he created, I hate when anyone refers to him or his life as 'tragic.' Of course I'm sorry that he was sick and eventually unable to do and be what he had been in his youth. But his musical spirit was with him as long as he was alive.

Someone beat me into requesting this. It’s so beautifully done and just because it gets more powerful as the song goes on. He’s a wonderful, kind and extremely generous person. I wish people weren’t jealous of him because that’s where rumors had started. U tube and the Elvis movie help people know his music and have learned to love him. ❤❤Thanks so much. You’re right. So many people with great talent have died young. Whitney Houston once stated “ Success is great, it’s fame that kills you”. One can become such a famous icon that I’m not sure if anyone can handle it. The really big names such as Elvis, Whitney, Michael Jackson etc all seem to leave us all too soon & we’ll always wonder what beautiful music they may have given us. But then I think these people will never grow old and will be remembered as young forever. 😢😊😊❤❤❤
