Elvis's vocal range was incredible - that's why he is The King. Please take the Priscilla movie with many a grain of salt, as it seems to have been overly dramatized. She gave lengthy interviews after they divorced, talking about their marriage, which she later contradicted in her book, that the movie is based on. Stuff like portraying that Elvis was so controlling that he told her how to wear her hair, makeup, clothes. In 1973 after their divorce, she sat down with a journalist from Home Journal magazine, there's like a 3 or 4 page interview. They asked about her hair and makeup style in the 60's, and she said she went to a finishing school and learnt how to do hair and makeup, and she said she just went crazy with it, overdid it, and that she must have looked ridiculous but Elvis never said anything to her about it, he wouldn't, he just let her do her thing. She stated that she had job offers, modelling, tv, etc, and could have worked while she was married, but that she chose not to. Her words, paraphrased, "I could have worked if I wanted to, it was up to me. Elvis just wanted me to be happy". Hmm, doesn't sound very controlling now, does it? After she started dating a lawyer, sued Elvis for more money, and put a lien on his home Graceland , her story changed. Why would she sensationalise her story? To sell more copies of her book maybe? Advised by other people? To get maximum money out of her connection to Elvis? I always think that it was the truth she was telling during those early years after the divorce, and not later. I think she loved him and probably wishes she hadn't ever got creative with the truth. I choose not to see the movie.
@JoAnnKlingaman-iu4lm7 ай бұрын
You're right about that 👏👏
@nycsue7 ай бұрын
You are more generous than I am about her feelings for Elvis so I give you credit. I think she needs money because she is a scientologist and they are all about the money. I believe that's why she took back his name to continue to cash in on his name. Scandalous and sensationalism sells a lot more than the truth. With Lisa Marie sending Coppela those emails pleading with her not to go on with the movie because it portrays him as someone she doesn't know or how her mother described and yet Priscilla was out and about promoting the movie. That's a very strange thing to me especially not even a year after the loss of her daughter.

@@CVTECK1 I think what Ms. Nancy is trying to tell you is you are not gooooooing. That at 2 songs per month, doing the math, it will take you 30 years just to hear his songs, therefore some songs you will only get to hear once, you will not have time left to add to any playlist for the future and that don't count getting to know him thru those that did, all the interviews, all of the rehearsals etc. Someone told you when you felt bad for having never have listened to him before that it's never too late, That is so true, but CV,, now you are taking a gift that was given to you and crawling thru time still missing out. If I were you, reacting or not, I would be running to hear his music and all the stories and interviews of those that knew him, like Muhammad Ali, James Brown, BB King and the list goes forever and ever. Just simply listen to several every day without reacting due to time and when you get some request of those that you have heard, just be honest and say I've heard this song but we are going to listen to it and I am going to give you my thoughts. Or simply say, I listened to that already, it was great and move on to one that you haven't heard. Otherwise, YOU won't live long enough at this pace. From what you have been thru and experienced happening to you, you should know, why put off tomorrow what you could be enjoying today and sharing with friends and family. That my friend is a waste of a gift you were given and a shame.

That’s when he was the best he was good in the 50s in the 70s but my favorite year is like I just said in 1982 or 83 I believe Don Robinson wrote that song he wrote a lot great songs for him. It’s sad that his voice did not sound like that in the 70s but his voice was good. Look at aloha from Hawaii and that’s the way it is he never lost his voice in the 70s even nights and 77 I believe his voice was getting better he was hitting at high notes. Unchained Melody is sad that Ricky Nelson knows and did it before him. I do like him too but it’s sad. it’s sad he did not do that song after they came out of the army along with she thinks I still care should’ve been done in 1963 or 64. He could’ve came out I knew where I want I wish you would’ve came out with another album and 64. That would’ve been great. Besides the movie soundtracks 1964. Don’t forget it recorded hurts me Memphis Tennessee, I wish this guy would do a reaction to. It hurts me.

He had a chance to defend himself a lot of people still believe MJ is guilty of messing around with underage boys. While some MJ fans state he was found not guilty, the truth is MJ was not found innocent the prosecutor dropped the case against MJ because of insufficient hard evidence to carry on with the case.MJ after the case refused to live in the USA again in case he was taken to court again. With Priscilla, she keeps changing her story…and this was when the Priscilla movie was coming out. She was in the audience of a q&a with actors from the movie and had the mic. She literally defended Elvis, said that there was absolutely no sex before marriage, that Elvis was loving and kind, and he was the love of her life. She said the reason she left wasn’t because she didn’t love him, but rather she couldn’t handle the lifestyle. She also contested Lisa Marie’s will, and as part of the settlement, is going to be buried at Graceland. Now, if Elvis was such a devil, would she want to be buried there? That seemed like such an odd request.
