What a surprise! These guys are so freaking talented. They were the first k-rock band I discovered back in the 2008. Hong Ki's voice is one of my favourites. Their older repertoire is incredible but in terms of reactions I would love to recommend Take me now, Wind, Severely and Pray, those are better known in my opinion.Thank you so much for this reaction!

It's great that you liked it! FTIsland is amazing ^^ It's nice that you notice Hongki's theatrical quality, because he started out as an actor before being a singer. He has many dramas and films in his career and also works as an actor in musicals (he is currently starring in the theater version of the anime "Your Lie in April").

FTISLAND are legends and THE OG idol band. They've been going for nearly two decades despite going through A LOT; and have an incredibly diverse discography. Lee Hongki is one of the best vocalists out there in my opinion, as well. His voice is so powerful and stable. Even his solo music is incredible, and he gives a positive message of being yourself. My favorite song by him is "Pathfinders" because of that message of positivity of your self-identity and letting go of stress society puts on you. Definitely check out more of them one day!!

Oh yes thank you so much. Sorry for being annoying about them under your comment section. Ft Island is considered as the first Korean idol band, and alongside their junior CNBlue they helped bands get more recognition amongst the usual dance focus kpop groups. Their company FNC is considered as the house of bands, with those 2 bands they also have N.Flying who’s currently very popular since one of the member was part of the drama Lovely Runner. There is also the band Hifi - Un!corn who mostly promote in Japan. And an other band will apparently soon debut, they currently use the name AMP and do first part of their seniors concerts. AOA is the first girl group of the company and at their debut they were an hybrid group, they were a dance focus group and a band, but when their dance part got more poupular, they let go of the band. Then SF9 became the first dance focus male group of the company and then they debuted P1Harmony, Cherry Bullet and recently AMPERS&ONE. I got introduced to FT Island through the song ‘Wind’. And this song will always be my favorite of them, the emotion put into it is just magnificent. That remind me of that clip of Seungwan from Seventeen singing it with Hongki, while DK and Hoshi were fanboying next to them 😂 You should definitely check out Hongki in Dingo Killing Voice. And if you are interested Yonghwa from CNBlue also has a killing voice episode and he was in an episode of Suga’s show Suchwita. FT Island have so many great songs and Hongki also released some solo albums. One song I really recommend is Hongki and Hweseung (N.Flying) - Still Love you, the vocals are just insane.

Every band from FNC is versatile So FT Island do a bunch of different sounds and concepts Their stuff can do from really light hearted and goofy to really serious and dark FNC ent is known as home to idol bands as they produced a lot of bands like Ft island , Cn blue , N flying , Honeyst , hi-fi unicorn Also have idol groups such as SF9 , AOA and P1harmony

Wait until you discover their "Cheerful Sensibility" album. No one has a voice like Lee Hong Ki. No one can make you feel as much as FTIsland does with their songs.

depends. there are an awful lot of amazing singers out there. I love Honggi's voice, but wouldn't say he is the best singer in the world. For example, his good friend Taka of One Ok Rock has an equally amazing voice and can equally make me feel the same way Honggi's vocals do. (and there are a bunch of other singers who have the same effect on me personally).

I'm honestly kinda jealous because you get the experience of hearing Pray for the first time. I had liked them before, but that one blew me away when it came out. They performed at the KTMF in LA and yes, they were absolutely phenomenal live and even impressed my dad!

Once I was at their concert, it was gorgeous. They sound even cooler live. I once came across a video of their 2015 concert. I was shocked at how cool they were. It's a pity that rock music is not so popular in Korea.

Finally!! You've been missing too much of FTISLAND. Hongki is one of the best vocalists, his voice is simply unique, distinctive, he has an innate talent to convey emotions with his voice, it is mesmerizing. And you're right Hongki is very theatrical, he is an actor and musical actor, he is a Showman, in fact in live they sound much better than the mv. His discography is very extensive and versatile, but I would recommend Take Me Now, Shadow, Crying In The Rain (live version)

I saw FTIsland yesterday for first time (same two songs), rare case KZbin suggestion was actually good, I felt in love with Hong-gi's voice from first second, what a grand range this man have, it's insane, his voice just instantly occupies any space he is in! Will definitely dive in in their discography, although with them it feels like I'm opening a pandora box ! Last time I had this feeling was when I watched live version of Shinee "Sherlock" 2 years ago by pure accident, and yeah I fell in Shinee rabbit hole and still there thanks to Taemin, I'm sure you can relate 😅 Now discovering FTIsland, it's like I have deja vu, but with no doubt it will be worth it. I'm sure you will bring more of their videos to the channel, so we go crazy over them together ❤

I really like your takes on the MVs. It makes me wonder how much do you know about the band besides Hongki, because some of what you said are so accurate, and I got similar impressions mostly because I've watched them since 2015. If you have the time, do check out the rest of the album. Their previous mini album "Sage" is also worth a listen. The title song has the same theme of overcoming obstacles and restarting on a new page.

As opposed to Burn It and Serious being very serious, the next tracks on the album, AQUA and Sunrise Yellow, are cheerful, exciting and very bright songs. That's the part that really entertains me.

I've been waiting for you to react to FT Island for a long time. It' finally happened. I knew you'll like them 😌 Hongki is a phenomenal singer. I hope you listen all of the songs in the album. They have a really long career so it's impoasible to check out all of their songs but if you want to listen more songs like this, you should check out Pray and Take Me Now. FTIsland is a well-established group. With CNBlue from the same company they were the first idol bands. They are more on rocker side.Hongki vocal tone is very mesmerizing. Minhwan the drummer is also very talented and well-reknown for his drum skills. If I'm not wrong he even got some international recognition.

Love this reaction and interpretation of the songs. A note though Lee Jaejin is a bassist not a guitarist. Due to various reasons FTIsland has gone from a band with 2 guitarists to none. One of which used to also play piano for some songs. Nowadays for their live shows and albums they tend to bring in temporary guitarists, some of which are recognizable to the fandom at this point. Like Euisoo who does a lot of their Korean shows. But it will be extremely unlikely FTIsland will ever add an official new member to the band at this point in their career simply because of how idol culture in Korea works.

Ive stanned them for 12 yrs and they r just so amazing also Hongki had vocal nodules at one point and had to have them removed so alot of us were scared for his vocal chords but he pulled thru and built his voice back up and the growth and strength that takes is crazy so ive never been more proud to b a Primadonna. 🖤🔥😭🤌✨
