Great reaction, Aaron, your analysis was spot on. Hong-gi has one of the most powerful voices in K-rock. This song is a definite favorite of mine.

in general, ftisland has long been worth listening to in the live version of the song. They release music specifically so that it sounds cool at concerts, and fans are advised not to judge the song by the videos, but to hear it live 🔥

Hi, Aaron! I hope you're doing good and healthy. I love your reaction so much and every detail you provided which I like. I am hoping that you can react soon to TWS, they are seventeen direct juniors. They have their debut on January 22, 2024 title Plot Twist but you can react first to their predebut video or prologue video that also contains their predebut song titled "Oh My My: 7s" so you will know the members name. They also have their first comeback, but before that they have their pre-release song titled "Hey!°Hey! And officially made a comeback on the June 24, 2024 title "If I'm S, can you be my N?". The title of the song can be interpreted as MBTI the S and N, but also S( South)and N(North) which are the polar opposite of each other. Their songs are also meaningful and very relatable. I was hoping to see you react to them, thank you!

That has been my assessment, as well. Hong Gi's voice is one of my favourite because of its power and dramatic expression (even though, generally speaking, his high notes need some work and his range isn't especially big). This particular song starts promising but turns out somewhat repetitive. So, you get the impression that it's a mediocre song that you listen to with pleasure only because of Hong Gi's voice and interpretation. As Placido Domingo once said, more or less: "An excellent song sung by a bad singer sounds bad and a mediocre song, sung by an excellent singer, sounds amazing." Also, maybe the fact that there are only three of them left has contributed to the poor orchestration.

У него один из самых больших диапозонов среди всех этих групп, он берет высокие ноты своим натуральным голосом. Хотя сейчас уже использует фальцет с хрипотцой. Достаточно посмотреть фанкамы с общих концертов всех этих групп с топ вокалистами, как они вообще не слышны со сцены. И тут вступает Хонки. Оч показательно песня amor fati на Music Bank когда пели в конце, именно фанкамы, где еще не успели создать идеальную картинку и звук для выступающих. Или выступление на радио Хонки и Сынквана с песней wind. Когда главного вокалиста севентин просто сдуло ветром на части дуэта. Что радио потом отредактированное выступление опубликовало, чтоб хоть как-то уровнять силы певцов. Ему не нужно исполнять ноты в стиле тоненького писка...он берёт мощью и громкостью, заглушая живые инструменты своим вокалом. И burn it стоит слушать live, вот там прекрасный музыкальный перфоманс. А с клипами ftisland не заморачиваются, они выпускают песни для концертов.

@@Lea0853 We don't disagree. What I wrote about Honggi, I wrote it on the basis of his being a lyric tenor. I don't know about those other groups you mention. The little I've heard of some of them doesn't intrigue me to hear more. Honggi is a real singer and not just a pretty face who jumps up and down on stage and has his voice tuned. That being said, his range isn't that big for a lyric tenor. Partly, I believe, is due to the fact that he hasn't worked on his high notes that much; compared to his middle register, his high register isn't as full and doesn't usually vibrate. BUT, I'm judging him as if he were an opera singer, which he isn't. Had he wanted, he could have easily been one with the voice that he has and maybe that's why I'm a tad strict on him. 🙂

@@lawally127так для рок музыканта ему нужно тренировать вокал совсем в другой направленности, чем лирическому тенору. Как раз для фронтмена группы его вокал идеален, и он все эти годы хорошо о нём заботится. Изучая новые техники такие как расщепление, гроул, даже фальцет прокачал. И участие в мюзиклах добавило ему некой драматичности исполнения. Высокие ноты у многих музыкантов больше выглядят как фишка, типо гляди как могу. Надо же выделится, когда вас 10 человек в группе. А петь концерт 2 часа под живую музыку, ещё прыгать и бегать как сумасшедший просто невозможно в таком темпе. Хотя песни ftisland достаточно высоки, и поэтому их оч редко перепевают другие музыканты. Мощи вокала не хватает, когда ты уходишь на верх, но не теряешь силы в подаче. Особенность Хона. Явный пример исполнение Wind Хонки и Сынквана из seventeen на радио. Насколько фронтмен рок группы отличается от главного вокалиста айдол группы.
