This man has been away from the music seen for 7 years - 88 months. He is 36 years old and started in the Entertainment Industry from the age of 7 and was the youngest Korean rapper at 13 years old. His group debuted in 2006 when he was 18 and by the time he was 23 years old - he was already a Superstart world wide. G Dragon also first Kpop Artist to write and compose songs for his group, band members and others. he has to date nearly 200 songs. His stage name G-DRAGON comes from his korean first name "Jiyong" - Ji (G) yong (means Dragon in korean). He was born in Yongsan means "Dragon mountain" in korean. On August 18, 1988 -Year of the Dragon in the Lunar calendar (calendar used by China & Korea). He made this stage name when he debuted as a young rapper at 13 years old in a korean hiphop compilation track. The ending back drop had 88 on it.. its his birth year and he came back as a music artist after 88 months / 7 years.
