got7 is also known as hot7 or visual7 because damn this group has literally no visual holes! (officially Mark is the visual chosen by the members, Youngjae was chosen as visual by 2PM's Nichkhun, Jackson and Jinyoung are both the faces of the group) and in person, let me tell you that I couldn't believe how the camera didn't do them justice (it really felt like life was unfair 😂) to answer a few of your questions: - got7 comes from the number 7 being lucky so it literally means that they have got "luck" and our fandom name is IGOT7 meaning that we have luck through them. - you will see a lot of birds in their videos from 2016 onwards (like the one at the end of LOOK, the feathers in You Calling My Name) because IGOT7 (shortened to ahgase (ah = i / ga = got / se=seven)) means baby bird in korean! also our lightstick is shaped like bird! so it's to represent us in their videos! - they are 3rd gen (debuted in 2014) - JYPE debuted them with a hip-hop-martial-arts-tricking concept and then they went for cuties once with JUST RIGHT before making a comeback 2 months later with bad boy emo vibes for If You Do. They've always experimented with their concepts, it was never really fixed. Also since 2016 they were able to produce their own songs for the group (hence why If You Do sounds a bit retro) but it wasn't until You Are in 2017 that they were allowed to produce a title track. JAY B has written the majority of the title tracks since then and the colour they like the most doing is kinda of a bright concept? Which wasn't really in accord with what the company wanted from them (one of the reasons why they did not resign with JYPE) but listening to their b-sides like thursday, page, teenager, aura, breath (title track by youngjae), it's really in their b-sides that you can hear their true sound. - All the members have produced and written songs for the group and now they have all ventured out solo but they've also produced songs with got7 in mind during the past year! They have the right to their copyright (JAY B did all the legal paperwork) and they were able to come out with a song called ENCORE a month after leaving JYPE under Warner Music Korea. So we will see if they'll continue under them or not! But it was pretty cool because all their respective solo companies also promoted the song! well this is getting a bit long sorry! thanks for the reaction and welcome the nest! you won't regret stanning these seven chaotic boys!

I could write an essay about how great GOT7 is. GOT7 is best known for their song Hard Carry (as well as their difficult choreography) but their best songs are the ones written by themselves, especially Jay B, who has written and produced many of GOT7's best songs: Teenager, Page, Eclipse, Thursday, among others. Please listen and watch the live performances of their songs because not only are they amazing but their energy and passion that they put on stage shines through to the screen. I met GOT7 through Jackson Wang just a few months before they left JYP and it's been one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I'm not exaggerating. Not only did I fall in love with their music and how handsome they are but they are great people. They are fun, genuine, talented, gentlemanly, humble, they take care of each other like the family they are and the relationship they have with their fans (Ahgases) is one of respect and affection. I really couldn't have found a better group of artists to be a fan of. It's expected that this year they will comeback with new music so while we wait we can enjoy the solo work of each one of them!

GOT7 are literally an all-rounder group. They all dance, they all sing beautifully, they all write and produce their own songs. They are the most solid group on earth, they're the only Kpop group owning the group's trademarks and copyrights, and they're coming back after over a year leaving JYP (now they're all managed by 7 different agencies + got a help from Warner Music to distribute their music). Got7 are so talented. Jay B and Youngjae have one of the most distinctive voices in kpop in my opinion, Yugyeom too. Too bad a lot of ppl don’t recognize their vocals. the members are Jay B (the leader) Jinyoung Youngjae Yugyeom (the maknae) All 4 of them are Korean The other 3 members are foreigners Jackson (Chinese) Mark (American with Taiwanese decent) he’s also the oldest Bambam (Thai) And if you notice the 3 of them are rappers in their older songs but ALL of them can sing. I would say Jay B and Jinyoung are 2nd gen since they debuted in 2012 with their subunit JJ Project. But the group as a whole is 3rd gen. I hope that makes sense. When they first debuted fans have given title of visual to Mark. He was so handsome(no official visual position from JYP at debut) But Jinyoung started to look more and more handsome. Even fans started to argue. And around 2016 even JYP made Jinyoung official visual and center. (even tho center position change during each promotion, but usually he is the ending fairy) But it is just hard to choose one.

'It's so different from what JYP does to boy groups now' THIS IS EXACTLY WHY Also JayB made "Look" and GOT7 composed lots of their songs but it was hard for them because they created a NO KpopGENRE style (What I mean by that is not well taken in korea but well taken in the rest of the world), but they stick to it because it's what they want to make and that makes me so happy as a fan, especially since I love their style . Yay!! you finally got around to my ult group! Even tho they aren't active as a group rn, they're rumoured to have a comeback this year since all the members are now back in Korea. If you liked Look, you might also like Eclipse, that song is top tier. It was produced by Jay b and the mv in certain parts reminds me of the Knock mv by Astro (my 2nd fave group). They also released alot of solo songs last year. 4 members are from Korea and they are JB/Yugueom/Youngjae/Jinyoung and the other members are Jackson Wang who is from China and Bambam is from Thailand and Mark is from the US/LA. The rappers are Mark/Bambam/Jackson and the other 4 do vocals.
