HF calls themself the world's first & only vocal country band using no musical instruments nor percussion. Obviously, they perform many more genres than country music. Whaaaaaaat? This song was written by June Carter for Johnny Cash. She fell in love with Johnny despite being married at that time. This is how she told him she loved him. Now to Home Free, Ring of Fire Avi and Tim are two the the greatest bass singers, but the respect Avi shows Tim and Home Free came when he removes his soft cap and replaces it with a cowboy hat. The two basses trade doing the bass lines so many times and you can't tell who is singing what until the final note.

Home Free is the real deal. They are so good. PTX is also so good and they won the Sing Off the year before Home Free so they are friends with each other. That last note was Tim Foust of Home Free. He has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and sing in the tenor range also. They sing country but also sing all genres of music. They have tremendous harmonies. Try Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band, How Great Thou Art. Good reaction Xed.

Xed! I've missed you! And you finally discovered my favorite acapella group!! (By just a tiny bit over Pentatonix.) I remember the joy I had in watching you discover Pentatonix, and now I got to experience it again by watching this reaction. 😁 You have done your homework on these incredible gentlemen, and let me add just a little more: Austin has an incredible high tenor voice and sometimes adds a few little yodels. Rob has a very smooth tenor voice and can also go very high. He also has a fantastic beard. Adam Chance (they call him Chance to avoid confusion) has a great baritone voice and can also hit some low bass notes. He's the newer addition to the group and not in this video. Tim has an incredible low bass voice, but can also sing quite high. He has an amazing range. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer/walking percussion machine. His drum sounds (and other instruments) will blow your mind. Chris Rupp, Adam's brother, is the one in the cowboy hat in this video. He left the group a few years ago to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Chance. Everything these guys do is pure gold, and they're wonderful people too. I recommend you check out "Man of Constant Sorrow" (for some incredible musical sounds), "How Great Thou Art" and "Helplessly Hoping" (sheer vocal perfection), "All About That Bass" and "The Butts Medley" (to see their extremely funny side), "Folsom Prison Blues" (for even lower bass notes from Tim and a "harmonica" from Adam), and my favorite Home Free song, "Do You Hear What I Hear?"
