There is a spotify version where you can hear more of halsey’s vocals. I think the reason why you can’t hear much is because when BTS promotes the song in Korea and in their concerts and go to music programs, Halsey won’t be able to attend.

For hip-hip EDM fusion try Mic Drop. For a pure rap song try Ugh! (It is only a lyrics video, but steer clear of lyric videos from Jaeguchi and Lemoring channels as they tend to have mistranslations). Black Swan is slow Trap/pop with an MV. BTS is a 7 member korean BOY group. The group consists of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. Their entire discography is very versatile and their songs talk about social issues and covers topics such as mental health and loving oneself. They often produce and write their own lyrics. People love them for their message and their amazing stage presence, and their fandoms is one of the most dedicated, raging from basically kids to 60 years old +, both females and males. If you like rap, you can try to react to UGH, DDAENG, CYPHER PT. 1-4 from the BTS RAPLINE (3 members of the group). I promise you, it wont disappoint you. BTS are actually genre-defying, one of the many reasons their fans love them so much. Each song is different, you need to listen to at least 20 to get an idea of what BTS are about. Try Mic Drop and Not Today for other group songs that are very different. Ugh is a masterpiece, of course. BTS are amazing lyricists, but you need the right recourses to appreciate that. If you do Ugh, you should also do the explained video by DKDKTV. They are also the most captivating live performers. Watch their performance of Black Swan at James Corden or their performance of On at Jimmy Fallon. Have fun.

Hey, this is the toughest group of men I know. They are fearless. They stand for a human and loving message are not afraid of express hard truths. Their history and albums are deep and always have a message. Despite being so young, they express themselves as 7 wise men. They often make me laugh so hard I cry. In their live shows, they often do things other artists wouldn't dare. They are very humble but if they get disrespected they can bite back hard if needed. I am an A.R.M.Y. around 50 and I've never followed any artist before. I have spent the last 10 years researching economics, medecin and more. I can be described as quite dry. B.T.S are interesting, their music is so varied and can only be described as B.T.S. They are 7 young men who at first can be perceived as androgynous almost feminine. They are just exceptionally good looking. The Jimin effect is real. In Korean culture, it is not uncommon for male friends to show feelings and touch each other in a way that we do not in the West. Here we have something to learn I think. Don't want this to not become a novel .. if you are curious as I start by looking at their story .. Some songs that people tend to get blown away from are: Mic Drop, ON, Black Swan, and Blood Sweat and Tears. A lot of their older songs and solo songs from individual members of the groups have some pretty deep meanings to them. It’s one of the big reasons people get so hooked by them. All their songs have closed captions with the English translation if you’re interested! I hope you have nothing but great experiences with the fandom it’s typically one big family! Good luck!

My dude, you’ve just opened a can of worms, but it is the most high-class, gourmet, limited edition, elite can of worms you could have possibly opened 😂 this guys are very talented and their discography is so varied that they can go from this (possibly their most pop oriented song) to heavy hardcore rapping in the same album and nobody bats an eye about it anymore. They go from hip hop, rap, r&b and neo soul to pop, rock, EDM, and even Latin influences in their songs. Just remember to keep an open mind since they are obviously from an entirely different culture with different norms and expectations, especially when it comes to what is considered masculine or not. If you do that no crazy ARMY (the name of the BTS fanbase) will try to mentally attack you in the comment section 😂 it’s alright to be confused and to ask question, we all went through a learning period after all, but once you get past that and you start really getting into their music and most importantly their lyrics and the message they are trying to convey you will hopefully understand what the hype is all about. The thing about reacting to bts is that the armys will cater to the reactor's music taste. BTS' has a very genre-diverse discography that there's always a song for someone or for a specific taste. I know you've seen by now in your comments how accomodating the armys are to your taste, just tell us what type of sound you like and we got you. Since you liked that trap/rap section I recommend checking out that member’s solo stuff. He recently released a mix tape (D-2) its all amazing. But the title track is a music video. It’s called Daechwita (which is a word for a type of music played specifically for a King’s processional). The song even mixes in traditional korean instruments. It’s pretty cool. I highly recommend. Thanks for keeping an open mind! Btw this is probably their most “pop” song they’ve ever released 😆. Also as others have said, “Ugh” is great too (just make sure to watch the “explained by a korean” video by DKDKTV with that one because the world play is amazing and it would be a shame to miss it).

Wow you picked the their most “pop” song to react to first 🤣 thanks for keeping an open mind. I think if this was the first song I listened too, I’m not sure I would have followed up with more songs! Random info below, you do not need to read :) Personally, knowing the discography, and that this song is on their album Map of the Soul: Persona, which is about the external persona one portrays to others (media, etc), makes me appreciate it more. So the idea of a very happy, pop song as a metaphor for the persona we put on to others is super interesting. The next album expands with an interlude called “Shadow,” and the songs added are an interesting examination of a shadow of (darkness, doubt, insecurity, confusion) creeping into that “persona.” BTS always has a message with their songs/albums. They recommend listening to the whole albums in order as they tell a story. That’s a lot to ask of anyone in my opinion, but their Love Yourself album series is easier to understand why: For a quick example, they have three Love Yourself albums: “Her,” “Tear,” and “Answer.” The first album, “Her” has songs exploring the idea of love toward another for fulfillment (songs: DNA, Dimple). The second, “Tear,” explores when those relationships fall apart (songs: Fake Love, The Truth Untold). The third, “Answer” comes forward to add songs that talk about the importance of loving ones self, not focusing on the love of others (Songs: Epiphany, IDOL). So that’s part of why the fans love their music so much, and why they push others to try to understand BTS. They put a lot of thought into all their music, and the songs can have a lot deeper context. It’s just funny how different “Boy with Luv” is compared to their other music. It makes sense in the context of their albums, but I think it’s a song that can give people the wrong impression of their group as a whole. Anyway, thanks again for a open minded reaction! This song is probably the most pop song BTS has, but they really cross genres a lot. They have rap songs, hip hop, ballads, bangers, everything. If you like rap, try Ugh!, or Outro: Tear. The rap line (RM, Suga, and JHope) are really good, and they write and produce their own raps. There aren't music videos for the rap songs, so I recommend watching a lyric video. Ugh! was released this year, so we don't have a live performance of it yet due to coronavirus, but there are some great concert videos for Outro: Tear. The concert videos almost never have lyric translations though, so watch the lyric video first.

Honestly saying, BTS is not the typical artists who make music just for money (i guess you know what I meant) some of their songs were about their fans (A.R.M.Y. are their fans name). Most of them were meaningful and inspirational. Just wanna share withyou that BTS saved me TWICE from my depression with their song BUTTERFLY (Becauseit is about stopping someone to commit suicide) that's why I really love them.
