That drummer is the legendary Nao, who was one of the founders of the band - not long afterwards, they brought in her younger brother, Ryo, on lead vocals and guitar. Nao also delivers the final set of clean vocals, standing behind the AG members. She's inspired a new generation of Japanese female drummers - including Murata Tamo of NEMOPHILA, who do a great cover of "Shimi" themselves. AG are currently on a North American tour - they're an idol-adjacent group with astonishing range.

Atarashii gakko are the four girls in uniform. They have been around since 2015, and can be defined as an alternative, even underground idol group (although many have even called them anti-idol). Suzuka, the one with glasses, is usually the singing leader, however the four of them sing (it is not your usual idol group as there is no clear leader, and they rather rely on the strengths of each one of them). Musically, they are the definition of eclectic (pop, jazz, rock, hip-hop, rap, disco, and now collaborating with a metal artist). Visually, they are quirky, colorful, and fun (even when the lyrics might be serious). They are all trained dancers, and they create their own choreographies. They collaborate in lyrics, and the direction they want the group to go. They are free spirits; they do whatever they like and want (and it is in this sense that they are not a typical idol group... I flinch by calling them idols). Finally, they've reach Charisma level 100.

I got the CD and the version on the CD still has Atarashii Gakko, but instead of the rap part, they have their vocalist (MtH vocalist, i mean) singing to the beat. that beat also has guitar riffs over it. This version is exclusive to the MV.

This song is potentially the best song of the year for us, this combination is simply brilliant. More Maximum The Hormone reactions are very welcome, the band is simply legendary. It would also be nice if you could come back to Hanabie, who started out as an MTH cover band. You wrote back then: "This is definitely the most interesting J-Rock song I've reacted to! I'm definitely intrigued and looking forward to hearing more HANABIE!" That was over a year ago. Recommendation: Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now.
