The funny thing here is that both BABYMETAL and Atarashi Gakko are fans and have been influenced by MTH, which are Japanese metal living legends.

Shimi(Stain) is an older MTH (MaXIMUM tHE hORMONE) track from 2007. Atarashii Gakko (The 4 girls in schoolgirl outfits) is a very eclectic J-Idol group (1 Mil+ subs) that while it's not a genre I typically follow, they are really good and they fit into this collab incredibly well. MTH is pretty legandary in Japan and very influential. Hanabie started out as a MTH cover band and the drummers from Band-Maid & Nemophila were inspired by MTH's drummer, Nao (She was the last solo singer in the video) that girls could be drummers. MTH loves genre flips (METAL/ROCK/PUNK/POP/RAP) on a dime and it works perfectly. The visuals in this MV are phenomenal. Grungy, post apocalyptic, traditional Japanese culture, even some Japanese horror movie elements

The 4 band members are Maximum The Hormone. The 4 girls in school uniforms are Atarashii Gakko The woman singing at the end with Atarashii Gakko on the platform is Maximum The Hormone's drummer. It's an old MTH song remixed to feature Atarashii Gakko And Atarashii Gakko are the most METAL non-metal j-pop group :D They are metal in spirit.

the influence Maximum the Hormone have had in Japan is kind of crazy actually. Nao(the drummer) seems to have been an inspiration to any women even remotely close to the metal scene

Nao who sings last is also their drummer. She also inspired Tamu Murata of Nemophila and Akane of Band-Maid to play drums. Not Haruna of Lovebites, who's a good friend of Akane. Maybe Lovebites - Solider Stands Solitarily (official live, Memorial of the warrior soul)? Never heard any play this fast and this clean.

It is featuring Atarashi Gakko, four girls that are dancing and singing. If you want to know who AG are then look at the First Take version of Otonablue. They are good and fun.

Saw Maximum the Hormone at a festival last year. Their finale was "Koi no Sperma," their party and crowd participation song. There's a little dance that goes with the song. 10's of thousands in the crowd doing the dance. The most fun I've had in a long time.

Atarashii Gakko sound like the sort of group who could collab with anyone and just perfectly match their style.

You know what's funny when you mentioned BABYMETAL? Both Maximum the Hormone and Atarashii Gakko have met BABYMETAL and took pictures with them.

MTH is like the godfather for most Japanese metal todays. So they're pretty much original, and didn't sound like other Japanese band. You can say that they sound like Babymetal because you heard Babymetal first. But other reactor who heard MTH first also says that Babymetal sound a bit like MTH. It's like you said Metallica sound like Slipknot.

A much better comparison than Babymetal would have been Hanabie, as Hanabie has harsh vocals with Yukina and clean vocals with Matsuri. Musically, Hanabie (initially an MTH cover band) also fits better with Maximum The Hormone with the many tempo changes and mixed genres. Both bands are at the forefront of Japanese metal on a creative level and should be followed widely.
