I feel like the song is about being yourself and "painting" your own way on a white canvas which is your life path and like always can connect with NCT's outgoing sound which many people try to discourage. The 2 baddies IMO connect with the manner and 1 porshe with the money, but I think it is just one of those sense lacking repeating SM lines which okay it is fun! I love the song one of my fav from NCT 127.

Emotional, meaningful songs tend to be NCT b-sides... their title tracks are typically designed to be hype, hard hitting, and in your face with some meaning thrown in, though sometimes it's kinda abstract upon first listen. Emotional NCT b-side recommends; NCT U - Faded In My Last Song NCT 127 - Promise You NCT Dream - My Youth WayV - All For Love Emotional w/ an mv; NCT U - From Home (bit of back story, no spoilers, over half of NCT are foreigners to South Korea, representing 9 different nationalities... the song is in 4 languages, Korean/English/Mandarin/Japanese.) Also, in case it hasn't been said... the storyline concept of NCT is dreams or dreaming... a phrase they've used over the years is "Synchronization of Dreams" and with other lyrics and imagery (particularly in their trailers), fans speculate the concept is along the lines of the movie Inception, where they can enter one anothers dreams or 'dream-walk'. Somehow, this will eventually tie into the SMCU. It's a pretty clever concept, because there are no limits in dreams... it allows them to be as over the top and out there as they want, since it can all be chalked up to just being a dream. Student hackers who were sucked into a shooter type video game with a stylized cowboy/old Vegas/rodeo theme? Sure, why not! 😄

And Limitless is an important concept for them that gets repeated time and again. One of their first MVs/title tracks (one of my fav of all their title tracks actually) was called Limitless (Korean and Chinese title was words talking about infinity) and it's stunning in sound and lyrics. Plus at their base concept, they are about infinite growth and limitless units and members. NCT keeps growing both in actual numbers but also in capability and goals. They repeat these ideas often in their songs.

Kick it is my favorite NCT 127 song. The choreography is incredible, the beat is amazing, the switch-ups when they go to the more singing part are great, the chorus... My first thought when hearing 2 Baddies was "what are they going to change Porsche to when performing on certain music shows". Some stations don't allow any direct references to name brands so there is usually an alternate version of the song. An incredible song though.

glad you're checking them out! nct and more specifically nct 127 are known for their crazy and experimental songs, which sadly puts a huge target on their back for people to really hate their music and make fun of them (something that happens with virtually every comeback of theirs) so they got a few songs like kick it where they basically say "we don't care, this is our sound and if you don't like it the door's right over there bye" and as a big fan of their music ever since their debut - i love that.

There's a theme in (especially 127 songs) where they always include some sort of wordplay. In 'Kick It' it's the verse where Taeyong comes in "Enter the dragon just like the movie". The "Yong" in his name means 'dragon' :)

Time magazine listed KICK IT as one of the top ten kpop songs of that year. NCT leader taeyong's opening finger twirl choreo was tictoked by over 100 fellow idols. From here i'd suggest their last wildly creative & highly contentious comeback "Sticker" and the exquisitely strange repackage vampire chaser "Favorite" as the stylistic EXTREMES 127 invariably goes to. Btw Urban Dictionary: a baddie is a girl who is "always slaying the game and always on fleek". 2Baddies certainly has hookup connotations, (taeyongs oh so bold "so you wanna ride these wheels"). But "baddies" can also be hot uber confident GUYS and 127 are RATHER beautiful & gender bending so they could be referring to themselves.

It's not just Bruce Lee NCT 127 reference too. Also, someone as Bruce Lee, he's a legend. When you take Bruce Lee as a reference, Bruce Lee was someone who created Jeet Kun Do. His own style of martial arts. He broke rules and created new styles. So, when you take NCT 127, they are also creating new music and new styles of music. So they don't care about haters so they are gonna kick all haters like Bruce Lee. 😎 I am A HUGE FAN OF BRUCE LEE TOO AND *coughs* I am someone who learnt martial arts from a young age and Bruce Lee was a role model for me for martial arts. I remember using nunchakus and crashing it all around the houses. I swear I couldn't stop using that. Idk how many vases and fragile stuff I broke. I grew up in a Japanese culture so... You get the picture. My grandma had vases of Japanese flower arrangements but I practice martial arts everywhere and... They get broken by my moves 😂🤣 Any way I went out of topic... When you mentioned GTA, it's funny because the leader of NCT 127 (and of NCT as a whole) Taeyong has self-written/composed songs called "GTA 1" and "GTA 2." I loved your reaction and really hope you react to NCT 127 more! They are a diverse and experimental group! Oh, and when they mentioned "limitless," that is also NCT's concept because they will add a limitless number of members. They debuted in NCT U with 6 and now have 23 members. 127 is just one subunit, but they're my absolute favorite!

To give you some context, 127 hasnt had it east because of their concept and the type of title tracks that they release, their music and concepts are always very experimental so often they're received with some reservations by some people and even mocked by others, personally I love everything they do because they always keep me on my toes. Several times 127 has referred the way in which they're mocked and questioned and how they dont care because they're proud of what they do and their identity.
