The RnB breakdowns are an NCT staple so you’re gonna hear them in pretty much EVERY song . That’s one of the reasons I love them. Because while they’re heavy Hip Hop/RnB based, they’re very experimental with the sound to the point where there’s a name for their sound. We call it “noise music”. Antis started callin it that as a diss but the group and the fandom embraced it and use it as a positive way to refer to their music lol

Love the reaction! NCT has 4 subunits: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream and WayV. They do have some of the same members through groups. NCT U is a rotational group so basically anyone from NCT 127, NCT Dream or WayV can go in it, changes per music video. Unlike most groups Nct actually exists 95% of the time divided into their subgroups and only occasionally comes together. I call them the reverse Kpop group because of that. Boss, Regular and 90s Love would be good songs to check out next!

nct has very experimental music, i think you would like nct u - the 7th sense, baby don't stop and 90s love. nct 127 - superhuman & highway to heaven. nct dream - boom, ridin. also check out wayv, they're the chinese subunit and make some of the best music in nct. bad alive, take off, action figure, turn back time and love talk are some of the ones that i personally love. also you'll see some familiar faces here and there between MV's but none of the nct u combinations are exactly the same. nct has a total of 23 members and any of those can be part of a song depending on who fits the concept. nct u songs can have 7 members, 5 members or even 2 members. as i said, depends on the overall concept of the song!

Nice! One of my favorite groups! What draws me to NCT is their diverse catalog of music. They’re not afraid to try different sounds, sometimes all in the same song (i.e. Punch). NCT U tends to be a little more experimental because the members are changed according to the song, but Taeyong (first rapper in Make a Wish) and Mark (first rapper in Hot Sauce) are constant in 2 of the four subunits, NCT 127 & U. They are also in Super M, along with Lucas and Ten from the Chinese NCT subunit WayV. Favorites include Yestoday, Cherry Bomb, The 7th Sense (debut), Simon Says. Too much awesomeness; do not get me started on b-sides. Enjoy the ride!

Base of their music most likely are edm, hiphop and rnb, some of pop to. NCT is a group with unlimited members concept, they had members from different countries. You're chosen the right MVs for start by the way. Make a wish (MAW) is one of their song in their latest album (as a whole group) called RESONANCE. After you checked MAW, please do check these MV : 90's love and Work it. Three of those songs were compiled into one song title NCT Resonance. Because of this their signature sound has been dubbed "noise music", by fans and critics a like. Each unit has it's own unique sound, but they all tie into something that sounds very specifically NCT, very "neo". I really recommend exploring all the units and NCT's entire discography, they are very impressive and worth diving into! They've all been active this very year so here are some songs I highly recommend: NCT 127 - "Gimme Gimme", "Punch", and "White Night" (a b-side) NCT Dream - "Riding", "We Go Up", and "Rainbow" (a b-sdie) WayV - "Back To You"(2 members Kun&Xiaojun), “Kick Back", and "Action Figure" NCT U - "The 7th Sense" (this was the debut of NCT as a whole), "90s Love", and "Faded In My Last Song" (a b-side) I don't recommend it right away, but if you were interested you could also check out the two songs NCT have with their entire group together. First is "Black On Black" from 2018 when they only had 18 members and then "Resonance" from 2020 with the current 23. Thanks for checking them out and I'm glad you enjoyed! Yepp here's a lil more info about the subunits. nct 127 (kick it): Has 10 members (only 9 active now) and promote mainly in korea nct dream (hot sauce): are kind of the 'kids' of nct. Used to be only for teenagers so once they turn 20, they graduate and join the other subunits, but due to the success of this unit, it is now a permanent unit with no graduation system wayv (not included in this video): is the chinese subunit nct u (make a wish): This is not a fixed subunit. Basically whenever they have a song, they choose the members that will fit the concept of that specific song from all 23 members in nct. These songs can have as little as 2 members or even up to 23 members in one song. For example if songs are rap focused (rappers are chosen), vocal focused (vocalists chosen), choreo driven (dancers chosen)

Oh, I've seen Hot Sauce! So cute and poppy! Make A Wish was a first for me. Love the whistling lol it reminds me of BP! That was super funky. The fucking bridge was so HOT with the R&B (lol I noticed you weren't the biggest fan but that's ok it was very different from the rest of the song). You would also love NCT's 2016 debut song "The 7th Sense" from the subunit NCT U, which sets up NCT's entire concept of connecting to others through shared dreams and through the subconscious. A lot of people will say that "The 7th Sense" was ahead of its time, which is absolutely is, but many idols say that it is a very difficult song to recreate because the choreo seems simple, but is hard to pull off, which is why you don't see a lot of idols doing song covers for it. Take a listen some time...it's incredible.

NCT music is something you really need to listen to more than once in order to adjust to it, since it's more experimental. They do blend R&B and hip hop a lot. WayV incorporates a bit of rock and more instrumentals in general. There's always a dance break because NCT are very performance heavy and well known for their dancing

Better get used to the sudden shifts in the music if you continue to react to SM groups... it's the labels signature style. 😄 Aespa's 'Next Level' takes it to an extreme if you haven't seen/heard it yet. Also, as I'm sure you've heard by now, you missed one of the NCT units which is WayV... they're the Chinese unit and unfortunately due to political tensions between SK and China they have to operate somewhat separately from the main... which is why they don't have the NCT moniker and are under 'Label V'. They are still very much a part of NCT though... hope you make your way to them eventually.

NCT music is a lot more experimental than most other groups, especially with their main tracks (the ones that get MVs), for a lot of people, it's really a hit or miss. That's why they're not as popular as BTS or BlackPink or even EXO. You can tell just between these three songs, they're super different. Don't feel bad about not liking some parts of their songs, even I don't like some of them and I had to get used to both Kick It and Hot Sauce.

Lee Haechan/ Lee Donghyuck (South Korea) as Main Vocal, Lead Dancer, Model. A very cheerful and nosy personality. The youngest member in the unit NCT 127. Besides mark, he is also a member of NCT Dream. That's my explanation about NCT 127, later if you need explanation about NCT Dream or Wayv I will explain one by one about them like this. FYI, 23 members of NCT have a high spirit of tolerance, a very high spirit of donation, have a single mindset and are mature even though they are young. I just want to let you know, that the thing with Taeil's iq was a rumor and he later clarified that it wasn't true. He is still really smart tho and had really high grades :) (especially in math if I remember correctly)

nct is actually a giant group with 23 members (and growing) they're split into subunits n they all have their own vibe. but I gotta say every comeback has a different vibe no matter the unit. and yes nct (and esp nct 127 I think) have hiphop influence but they always mix it with different music styles. also there's another subunit called wayv that u probably missed cus they don't have nct in the name.

overworked main rapper Mark Lee is in NCT U NCT 127 and NCT DREAM as well as 7 member SM Ent supergroup SuperM which has members of NCT, EXO, SHINee, WayV (NCT subunit for China with Chinese and other non-Korean members). Mark is probably my favorite boy group rapper in Kpop (also Bobby of iKON, MINO of WINNER, TREASURE has a good rap line, plus 2 of the guys from famous boy group with crazy fans). I mostly listen to girl groups (so Lisa, Jennie, Moonbyul, Soyeon, LE, Yuki of PURPLE KISS, etc.).

Okay. Im about to explain basically everything about NCT so this is gonna be a long comment. If there is something I missed please tell me because I'd like for everyone to get the correct information... ------------------------------------------------------------ So NCT stands for Neo Culture Technology and are under SM entertainment. The main concept is to be limitless and have unlimited members and concepts, which is why every comeback and song is very different. As of July 2021( when I am writing this) they have 23 members ranging from ages 20-27 (1994-2002) and include 9 varying nationalities. They are seperated into 4 sub-units. NCT U NCT 127 NCT Dream Wayv ~Sub-units~ NCT U ( NCT United) This was the first group to debut on April 9 2016 with the song 'The 7th sense'. The U stands for united as the members are united as one. NCT U is not a fixed unit and is rotational, meaning any member can be added or removed from it. In every NCT U song there are different members. E.g in the song 'Baby don't stop' there were only two members participating in the singing and dancing, however in 'Make a wish' there were seven, and both songs were placed under NCT U. NCT 127 NCT 127 debuted on July 7 2016 with the song 'Firetruck'. This is a fixed unit, so all of the members are permanent. NCT 127 started with 7 members and currently have 9. At one point they did have 10 members but I'll talk about that when I get into the members later. The 127 signifies the Longitude of Seoul, south Korea. In an interview, the members explained that they created NCT 127 as a reminder that no matter where they might go in terms of travel or tours, they always need to remember where they started, which was in Seoul. NCT 127 members age ranges from 27 to 21-22, and are the only NCT unit to have 5 official nationalities. NCT Dream. NCT Dream debuted on August 25 2016 with the song 'Chewing gum'. This is another fixed unit and consists of most of the younger members of NCT. (Age range 22-20) The concept of Dream was to be the youthful and energetic sub-unit of NCT. At the time of their Debut the oldest member ( Mark) was 17 and their Youngest member (Jisung) was 14. NCT dream is a fixed unit with 7 members. Wayv( We are your vision) Wayv is the final Sub-unit of NCT and are under the company Label V. The difference of name and company is due to the relationship between Korea and China (It's not the best buddies around). Wayv is a the only subunit that's sings exclusively in Chinese. It consists of 7 members all with Chinese decent or ethnicity. Wayv debut January 17 2019 with the Chinese cover of NCT 127's title track 'Regular'. I'll get on to the members next.

I'm pretty sure he has like 6 or 7 languages under his belt. He is a professional dancer and he has a stage presence that will scare anyone who sees him. It's not really a stage demon, but more of a intimidating aura when he is serious. He's also known for being shirtless in a lot of videos so...there's that. Jisung is the youngest member of NCT dream, as well as the whole of NCT. However him being the youngest member has nothing to do with his height. He is in the top 5 tallest members of NCT standing roughly 180 cm (5"11). However his age and height can't compare to the glow up this boy had. Compare him now to his debut and you will see that this boy will only get bigger and better. And of course his voice will just get deeper too.

NCT is concept, not only a group, there's 23 members and SM (the company) probably will add up to 50 people, they're divided in sub units with individual concepts, some of them are rotative and others aren't, for example, wayV is a sub-unit for the Chinese market only and at the start, nct dream was only for the minor-aged members. Understanding NCT at the first glance is pretty complicated tbh 😅
