to make it clear: NCT is one whole group that consists of sub units. You have NCT U, NCT127, NCT dream and WayV. NCT dream was originally a group with all the youngest members and when they would turn 20 they would leave the group and join other units (Mark and Haechan are also in NCT127) Because of this Mark wasn't in the last 2 comebacks, (and in Boom there were parts with only 5 members because Haechan also had a comeback with NCT127 so he didn't have time to be in every portion of the video.) BUUUUT sm recently announced that they will make NCT dream (including Mark) a fixed unit (meaning no members will be leaving) :D

Hold on that’s not really true, nct dream isn’t a fixed group it’s a rotational group which has ot7. Which means during different comebacks some members won’t be in it because they might not fit the theme of the comeback. So technically it’s not a fixed group, it’s a compromised decision that sm made to keep what they want and also what the fans want.

Nct Dream had a graduating system where members who turned 20 would “graduate” from the group. Mark (the one you liked in the first two vids) turned 20 and graduated, so he’s not in the Boom MV. This left the group as a 6 membered group. Haechan, who’s a member of both Nct Dream and Nct 127, was absent from most of the group shots in the Boom MV (which is why most shots had 5 people and some had 6 people) because Nct 127 was having a US Tour, which Haechan was participating in. Also Haechan might have been injured during this time which meant he couldn’t dance...I’m not really sure tho. Last year tho, 4 members who were born in 2000 were supposed to graduate since they would be turning 20, but fans begged the CEO of SM Entertainment to keep Nct Dream as a fixed unit (this was before the Ridin MV was released). And he released a statement saying that they would be a fixed rotational unit (like Nct U, meaning that they pick specific members who they think will fit the specific song; for example if they’re making a ballad, they will only pick the members who are part of the singing line, same goes for if they were to make a hip hop based song) So, Mark is supposed to still be in Nct Dream, but reason he’s not in the Ridin MV is because the other members of Nct Dream were already preparing the song as 6, but Mark is surely to be in future comebacks with Nct Dream. Ok so yeah you’re kinda right about the “fire dude” in the first two videos. His name is Mark Lee (a legendary rapper who’s basically in every NCT unit except WayV). He kinda had a leader role in NCT Dream even though they don’t have an official leader. The reason he “left” is because NCT Dream’s concept used to be that they only have teenage members, so when the members become adults they graduate. That’s what Mark did, but very recently it was decided that NCT Dream will be a fixed unit and Mark will return! Hopefully he’ll become the official leader of the group. And fyi, all the members except the youngest one (Jisung) are now considered adults.

although your explanation is correct there is no telling when mark (or hyuck) will actually have a comeback with the dreamies again... SM made NCT dream into a rotational unit like NCT U meaning that if mark and haechan are busy with other promotions (127 or superm for mark) nct dream will simply promote as ot5 or even less as sm has said the dreamies will be joining new units. I believe sm made this decision so the dreamies don't have to wait for markhyuck to be free in order to have a comeback, it's not ideal but at least they'll be in the basement less? 😭 Although the group is fundamentally ot7, I think it'll take a while to actually see them all reunited 😔

There was a graduating system, so whenever a member turned 20 they graduated from the group so that's why there was only 6 in Boom and Ridin'. The reason there was only 5 in some of Boom was because Haechan is in NCT127, and he was busy with NCT 127 comeback and tour. So Mark turned 20 after We Go Up, so he wasn't in any other comebacks after(Boom and Ridin'). Most of the NCT Dream are born in the 2000s making 4 of the 6 remaining members graduate this year leaving only 2. The one that you said that you liked from GO (rapper) he is indeed the leader his name is mark he is from canada although they had a graduation system so when you turned 20 you went to another subunit and left nctdream thats why in boom there was less people so mark is in nct127 nctu and nctdream but they took the graduation system off and they are gonna bring him back to nctdream so "RIDIN" was the last comeback that they had as 6 members but the next comeback is gonna be with all 7 members again and in the boom video when you where confused why there was only 5 members mark was not there but also haechan is in nct27 so while filming some scenes he couldnt be there because of his promotions with nct127 :)

If you check the release dates, the Boom MV was filmed around the time when NCT127 was doing promotions in the US for Superhuman... which explains why Haechan isn't in all the scenes. Mark "graduated" from Dream in 2019… which is funny because there are indications that they're ditching the graduation system, and may be bringing back Mark at some point.

NCT Dream used to be the teenager unit. So when you turned 20 y.o you have to "graduate" from the unit. That what happens to Mark, the guy you liked from the beginning. That's why at some MVs, you wont find him. But now the system changed and the unit becomes a fixed unit, meaning that there wont be any "graduation". the rapper you liked from the first 2 vids is Mark, he's also apart of 127 and U units. until recently, nctdream had a "graduation system" where members left the group once they got to a certain age, they would leave dream and focus on other units. because dream is so popular, they changed that system, so now it will be a sort of rotating system with the original 7 members, and depending on their availability for that comeback, it may not be all 7 members for a song. for reference, nct 127 has also had member changes over time. (another dream member, haechan, is also in 127. other than mark and haechan, the other dream members have yet to participate in a comeback as any other unit excluding nct as a whole) since you're going to be reacting to the other units, ill explain them quick for u haha. so nct u is going to be confusing because there are different members for every song, as its not a "fixed" unit. the company will pick members from nct as a whole, from any unit, based on if they think they will suit that certain comeback. for example, nct u debut song is "the 7th sense" and it has 5 members. another nct u song is "boss" and it has more members participating. if you react to nct all together, you will probably see "black on black" by nct 2018. as you can guess by the name, it was released in 2018 and all of the members who made up nct in 2018 participated in the performance. since then, more members have been added to the nct "universe" lol, and more members will continue to join, probably with new units too. watching guides to each of the units and nct as a whole will definitely help, but I hope this clears up some confusion

NCT Dream is like the sub unit for teenagers and the youngest is born in 2002 his name is jisung (He Korean) and then there chenle who Chinese but is born on 2001 and then there Jaemin, Haechan, Jeno,(Those 3 are full Korean) Renjun who is Chinese but is also currently the oldest but they are all born in 2000 there was one other guy named mark lee he is Canadian and he was born in 1999 but he "graduated" because he turned 20 - There system is like once you turn 20 your graduating from that sub unit and leveling up to the adult unit which is 127 and U but Sm (the company they are under) has found a new CEO and he has declared that Mark Lee will make a comeback with NCT Dream which ALSO means OT7 Full Sub-Unit. Nct dream had a graduation system where when the members turned 20 they would leave the group but now the graduation system is gone and in the next comeback they will be a permanent 7 member group. The 3rd and 4th mv you watched was after mark the oldest member had graduated. I think a guide to nct dream would explain this a lot better though! 😊

Nct dream had a graduating system where when the members turned 20 they graduated and went to other subunits, but they changed that system. Mark had graduated because of it but it's been announced that he's coming back because of the change in their system. They saw mark as the leader but it wasn't official. Mark was the guy from the first two videos that you liked, and the crew fly dubai guy from nct 127. He's in nct u as well. The reason why there were 5 in some shots for the boom mv is because haechan was busy with nct 127.

OMG IM SO SO HAPPY TO SEE THIS!!! Yesterday was WayV and now NCT Dream, THANK YOU!!! Btw yes you were right, the dude you like was the leader of NCT Dream. His name is Mark. There was a time when he was basically everywhere : NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U. He’s one of the main rapper of the whole NCT universe. You must’ve noticed him in NCT 127 too. He graduated from NCT Dream when he turned 20, like it supposed to be with all NCT Dream members. Yes they were so young when debuted, they’re the youngest line of NCT and have that youth/teens concept (especially before Boom era). BUT last month SM announced that there will be no more graduating system for NCT Dream and that Mark will eventually join them again as 7Dreams and we’re all so freakin hyped for that good news! Btw when it comes to NCT all units, you should really watch the dance practice videos too, you won’t regret it, SO satisfying. And BLACK ON BLACK is mandatory song/mv from NCT. So the reason there's less members in Boom is because the rapper you really liked in the first 2, Mark,, left because they "graduate" when they turn 20 since dream is all the youngest members of the group. Mark is still active in NCT 127, and actually as of this year SM said that he is re-joining! So the next song after Ridin should have Mark again! Also one of the members, Haechan, had a broken leg at that time, so he's in the mv and he's singing in the song but he couldn't dance. Edit: I was thinking of 127's song Wakey Wakey which was the one he didn't dance in because of a broken leg. He wasn't in all the dance scenes because NCT 127 was on tour for the first time ever & he could only be in a few scenes.

"We Go Up" was originally meant to be Mark's NCT-Dream graduation song. As you might have noticed, he is kind of highlighted in this MV and a lot of the MV looks like the members are just hanging out and partying, etc. Some of the scenes in the MV are actually the members just celebrating Mark's last MV with the NCT-Dream members and the members saying goodbye to him as their leader, etc. The members in "We Go Up" are: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung. However, this year, SM announced that they were discontinuing NCT-Dream's graduation concert and Mark was added back in as a member of the group. But he has not been a part of any of Dream's recent songs because he has been busy with NCT-127 and SuperM activities. Mark is the member who you like the best for his dancing and rapping. He is the oldest member of NCT-Dream, he is currently 20 years old. He is also a member of NCT-U, NCT-127 -- the only member to debut as an original member of all 3 of NCT's first 3 sub-units -- and SuperM. He is Korean-Canadian. NCT-Dream is NCT's third sub-unit, which began in August 2016, and, it is made up of all the youngest members of the group. All the Dream member's are currently between the ages of 18 and 20 years old (they were 14-17 when they debuted.) SM originally created this sub-unit with the idea that If they had a trainee that they felt was ready to debut even though they were really young, they would start out as a member of NCT-Dream. They were the cute babies of the group who were learning the ropes and honing their skills because they are young, but they are also some of the most talented because they debuted way sooner than a lot of trainees. The way NCT-Dream originally was designed to work was that the members were part of the group until they turn 19 and become an adult. SM's original plan was that when the members turned 19 they were supposed to graduate from the group and they are no longer considered a member of NCT-Dream. As I mentioned, Mark "graduated" from NCT-Dream in 2018, and Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin and RenJun, who are all 19, we thought would be graduating soon. (Which would have left NCT-Dream with only 2 members, with the idea that new trainees would probably debut later this year and become members of NCT-Dream.) However, as I mentioned, SM recently announced that they have decided to make NCT-Dream a permanent group and suspend the whole " graduation" concept, including putting Mark back in the group. But this doesn't mean new members won't still be added to the group if SM decides a new trainee would fit well, etc. There are 6 members in "Boom." However, Heechan, who also is a member of NCT-127, was just recovering from an injury, as well as promoting as a member of NCT-127 at this time, so he was only able to participate in part of the MV. That's why you only see all 6 of them at the end. In the beginning of the MV there was only 5 members, but by the end there are a few scenes with all 6 members. Jisung is the one with the deep voice, and he is actually the youngest member of the whole NCT group -- he was 17 in "Boom", but when he debuted he was only 14. He is known as the best dancer in NCT-Dream and one of the best dancers in NCT as a whole. As youngsters, NCT-Dream members are some of the most talented. In "Ridin'" there are again only 6 members in the group because Mark did not participate in this comeback either. The first two MVs had 7 members because they were before Mark "graduated," and the last two had 6 members because Mark did not participate in these songs. You should check out the dance practice videos for all of these MVs. The MVs don't even begin to do the choreography justice. NCT is known for having impressive dance practice videos. When Dream first debuted they had a very young and cute vibe, but like the members, as they age and mature, so too does their style and sound. So over the years you will see that their music has changed a lot. Their debut song and MV is so bubblegum cute that it was literally titled "Chewing Gum," but now that they have all grown up, you can see, from these MVs, that their concept has become much more mature.

The first 2 MVs were older, when they had 7 members and their harder teen image. The last 2 MVs are newer and their more mature teen image with 6 members. (Haechan was touring with nct 127 in boom and didn't film some of the MVs scenes, and mark graduated after he turned 20, dream being the 'youth' unit of NCT)

They are the minors of NCT so they were supposed to graduate when they reached 20 and go to the other units (127, U, WayV), that's why there's fewer people. But since they've been so succesful their agency decided to keep them together so Mark (the rapping guy you liked in the first videos) is coming back to the unit starting next comeback, altough he's basically in almost every NCT unit already (he's in 127 and U as well, and also in SuperM)
