Some kpop idols don't write their own songs but seventeen write their own songs (woozi) and chreograph their own dances (hoshi) The rap line sometimes write their own lyrics and the performance unit sometimes help with the choreography but they have members to write compose and produce the songs Hope I helped :)

Thanks (cmiiw) is a song dedicated to fans fyi thats why if you notice the MV is basically them being idols (the studio, makeup room, etc) Most idols dont write or compose their songs but there are still A LOT of idols who majorly participate. Seventeen themselves is a full self-produced group where they produce compose write the songs, even made the choreography. Other group like this are Stray Kids (but almost all of the choreography are made by someone else). Then there are BigBang, iKON, Winner, G-Idle, GOT7, Twice write their lyrics sometimes, and manyyy more~~ Oh yeah, it's super fun to watch Seventeen dance practices theyre very satisfying

Thought I'd throw this comment where you asked if it was true that in Kpop they don't write a lot of the music, that is the case sometimes, but what I love about Seventeen is they produce and write pretty much all of their music. They are self producing idols! They also have incredible choreographers and two of their members (Hoshi and Dino) choreograph a lot of their routines!

To answer the your question in 25:06 , Seventeen is also known for being a Self-producing idols. Woozi (The smallest) wrotes most of their songs together his other members sometimes (but still guiding by their producers). While Hoshi (The red hair in their MV Clap) helps to choreograph along with his team (Which is the Performance team) and sometimes they are really in charge to make a choreo in a song. While the hip-hop team (The rappers) most of the time they are helping or making their lines. In Seventeen they are divided into 3 teams which are: -Vocal Team -Performance Team -Hip-hop team And Their song named "Thanks" That is dedicated to their fans and also they are portraying their life as an idol (What they do, how they feel, etc) I hope this help u lilbub!!!
