Even though Angel with a Shotgun is probably the most popular one I'd say that stuff like Moonlight Shadow, Angel of Darkness, Anima Libera, Dam Dadi Doo, God is a Girl are better representations of old nightcore. I recommend Maikel6311's Nightcore channel.

Nightcore is a form of remix where they take the original - including the original vocals - and up both the tempo and the pitch. "Angel With a Shotgun" is a good song all on its own, but it especially adapts well to the Nightcore style. It serves well as an introduction to Nightcore and is on almost every Nightcore playlist, which is why the view-count is so high.

This is the most popular nightcore song. Nightcore is basically a specific type of remix where they speed up and pitch the song by 1.25( if i remember corectly). Nightcore is OLD INTERNET stuff btw. Some videos are 15 years old and still ask for 5☆ and are in 480p with thumbnails from sites that closed down long ago. Some nightcore chanels still post. I am so nostalgic right now.

I know that people usually have just a nightcore phase, but I've been listening to it for more than 4 years at this point and still not feeling like stopping at all mostly because I prefer the fast pace and there's just something about it that I really love, so seeing you react to this makes me really happy and I would love to see more nightcore reactions.

Nightcore was basically just a trend in the early 2010s where you'd take a poppy or emo song from the 2000s and pitched it up. Angel With a Shotgun was one of the most popular ones and felt like youtubes first foray into the algorithm because it was just randomly suggested to every anime fan at some point. How you worded it is kinda the essence of Nightcore, they increase the tempo, tune up the vocals and do a lot of other things. The thing is Nightcore has heavily evolved over the years what you listened to angel with a shotgun is like an "original" Nightcore now if you listen to something from the recent Nightcore artists they do a lot more production work and will really add more flare to songs. So yeah try out some other songs see if it is for you since Nightcore just like any genera of music isn't for everyone and sometimes you need to find a specific person who works on Nightcore edits to enjoy them.

I dont want to give out names but I feel that old nightcore songs actually added more to the songs. The newer ones are just a bit speed up pop songs. Like listen to Moonlight Shadow, Anima Libera, La di da, Angel of Darkness and you will see the difference compared with newer nightcore

I love nightcore! *Day 174* of recommending the *Beyblade openings* . There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I have a lot of nightcore in my EDM playlist and I've heard the original version of very few of them. I've only rarely been tempted to check out the original versions. I guess for some people it's more interesting to identify the edits, but I just like the genre. Very cool to see someone reacting to this! It's definitely a piece of internet history.

Luke, a nice cover of "Angel with a Shotgun" is by Amatsuka Uto, the hugely popular Vtuber who is on indefinite break now, and greatly missed. Apart from being a sweet angel, she's also a formidable FPS competitor with a liking for shotguns; she even made a Twitter post "I love shotguns." Nightcore is music that is remixed and usually a video with lyrics along with it It's usually sped up 10-20%, and also pitched up a bit The biggest part of nightcore was the community, a very close knit community of typically a very young audience, many of which were struggling, who found the nightcore community very endearing, and relatable Also very related to anime, which also brings a younger audience It's definitely not for everyone :) however there's nightcore of basically every song, since its quite easy to make, i definitely reco.mens listening to versions of your own style of music Extremely nostalgic, i love it

Basically they just raise the pitch. There is also anti nightcore where they lower the pitch. Its Basically just preference for the sound you like. Nightcore in particular was also a big trend.

I'd say that's the generic approach to it, but the people who actually are really talented with music mixing can do so much more than that. Increasing the pitch without it becoming cartoonish, adding new instrumental elements to the beat, controlling the tempo well.. It's night and day listening to high quality Nightcore vs generic "I sped it up 20%" Nightcore.

I think a lot of people started with nightcore by listening to Angel With A Shotgun, even though I started with Pika Girl by S3RL after it hit my recommended back in around 2016? Anyway, other ones I would recommend are Set It Off's "Horrible Kids" (though you probably don't know the non-nightcore version), Alan Walker's "Fake A Smile" and Alec Benjamin's "Let Me Down Slowly" (might not recognize the artist name, but it's a song that's decently popular)

I highly recommend watching the version from Amatsuka Uto "Angel With A Shotgun". She is an independent vituber with an angel avatar, there is even a clip for this song on her channel. Unfortunately, she has now ceased her activities, but I think that you should definitely get to know her, you have not seen such a sweetness yet!

Well then in that case let me recommend *Senbonzakura Nightcore version* , its so goood (especially the Clawz version) Also I feel like Angel with a Shotgun is so popular, is because it's like "the Nightcore song" that many people heard/had recommended in their teenage years, a bit edgy, a bit rebellious, upbeat, and still fairly safe. In my opinion I feel more nostalgic about it, than actually strongly enjoy it. It's like a fond memory more than something I'd sit down and listen to, and it introduced me to a lot of other Nightcore music that I truly fell in love with and still listen to to this day on occasion. It's very much a mood thing that sometimes just hits a sweet spot :) Always love the honesty!

There are different styles of nightcore, typically it is sped up and pitched up a bit, however what sets it apart isnt that, its some remixed/added instruments as well. It isnt the easiest thing to do well

My Nightcore phase is now like about 8 years ago and I can tell you (at least in my opinion) that if you really like a song, you'll most certainly not like the Nightcore version. My favorites were always cool songs, that I didn't know before, but I personally never liked Angel with a Shotgun too much. So I kinda want to recommend my favorite Nightcore song from back then, which is "Teufelstanz", a german techno song. I just listened to it again and it also made me realize that now it totally makes sense how I became a Vocaloid fan xD

So my understanding on older Nightcore is taking the Beats Per minute (BMP) of an already established song from say 128 BPM to 256 BPM for a faster Tempo, typically by speeding up the track by about 35% {according to the Wiki page) while also changing the pitch on the vocal track into higher pitches, I.e. taking a singer with a deeper voice like and making them sound Hatsune Miku. As I recall when I found out about it was around the same time that Vocaloid started really taking off. Also if you like this Genre"Core" type music look into Instrumental Core, particularly a called "The Angel Among Demons." "Cloak and Dagger" or "Resurrection of the Dagger" by Varien are amazing tracks that are pure instrumental tracks.

Wow, nostalgia!!!! I have this one in a playlist since a few years ago Nightcore videos are the real deal! Some of them are even better than the original. Nightcore is a "genre" of music that originated on old KZbin, where people would speed up songs by about 20% (and sometimes up the pitch) as a method of being able to upload songs onto youtube while getting around old copyright rules. It exploded in popularity, with many people even preferring the sped-up versions to the originals. Around 7-ish years ago there was a small movement to turn Nightcore into a real music genre; where Nightcore would then be a genre fusion of Trap and Happy Hardcore with little bass, sped-up tempo, and pitched-up voices. There would also be a similar genre called "Daycore" which would be the same thing but with heavy bass, Slowed-down tempo, and Pitched-down voices. Sadly, this movement didn't catch on enough, and the original "Lazy Nightcore" like the one you just reacted to are still what people think of when you mention Nightcore. You can occasionally find "True Nightcore" songs around leftover from this small movement though.

One of the things that pulls me into a lot of the nightcore remixes is how it's easy for me to imagine either an anime opening or montage of some sort accompanying the song. Often I've heard the nightcore version of songs before the original and prefer it as they have a very different energy to the original despite how simple the changes are. The ones that I'd recommend are; This is gonna hurt - from channel: guldmand55 Calling all the Monsters - from channel: Nymphetamine And if you want something a little different, Dollhouse from channel NightcoreReality also does a solid job of giving a different vibe from the original, but is still a fairly low-energy song

Definitely not a reaction video I expected but boy did it send me down memory lane aswell lol And I think you hit the nail on the head with your way of putting it when you heard the original, there is just something about the tempo that makes the songs sometimes preferable in Nightcore. Or at least thats how I experienced it during my phase aswell.. we've all kinda been there I guess. But now I've honestly come around to appreciating the originals more sometimes, partially bc the pitch being off on some nightcore tracks outweighs the nice tempo change for me personally. But thats the beautiful thing about taste. Everyone has their own and it can change over time. And while this was anything but expected im glad to see we somewhat got the same experience through that Songs Nightcore Version. And yeah, depending on which version is your first experience of the song it can definitely change the perspective on what sounds better in my opinion. for me nightcore was big cause there were always those 1-3 hour nightcore music videos and all songs were bangers that i couldnt find otherwise, some nightcore versions were better than original some were not, but overall they had more energy in them which is a plus for me :v

Ángel with a shotgun is one of the most famous nightcore songs, as well as "this is how to be a heartbreaker" and many others. Personaly, I would recomend you to check out some slow nightcore (normal nightcore but instead of fast songs they change slow songs) like any of rosendale or nathan wargner
