Every time! Jer: *watching a very serious edit* *pauses* LOOK AT HER EYEBROWS So this show is actually called Shadowhunters. I read this book series in high school. The Lightwoods are basically like demon hunters. It gets a lot more complex than that, but that it in its simplest terms. They have runes tattooed on their bodies that give them powers kind of. The more they train, the more runes they get. Jace is adopted but he's still a Lightwood. Really good show. Even better book series.

Those tattoos are actually called runes and they are what give them powers as children they are trained and once they reach a certain level of training they get their first rune, the angelic rune, which is what you saw at the end on max’s arm.

So the tattoos are called "runes", they are symbols that grant them various supernatural abilities given to shadow hunters by the Angel Raziel, which grants them powers beyond those of mundanes (regular people, who aren't aware of the "shadow world"). Shadow hunters like Alec, Izzy and Jace are part of the Institute of NYC and they are charged with basically killing demons that come and interfere in the world. The lightwoods are a family within the Institute, however, they are not the only ones as there are institutes worldwide. Max (the kid) says that Jace (the blonde guy) isn't his brother bc he was basically adopted by the Lightwoods when he was a kid. When Max had a red mark on his arm, it was actually his first rune. So Alec and jace are parabati which basically means they’re bonded at like a cellular level. If one died a piece of the other died too. It’s like a bond stronger than brothers. And those weren’t number tattoos. They were runes. Runes are like burns on the wearers skin that give certain powers with each different rune. And the boy max was getting his first shadow hunter rune at the end of the video. I don’t have any suggestions for more of these videos but I definitely recommend you watch more. They’ve always been very interesting. Especially for me because I read and own all of the books that the show is based on. Just don’t watch the movie. It’s horrendous😂. Love your reactions. Okay so the tv show is actually called Shadowhunters ‘The Lightwoods’ are the siblings in the video, the number neck tat isn’t actually a tattoo (or a number) but something called a ‘rune’ which basically gives the ‘Shadowhunters’ (half angel half humans) specific abilities which helps them fight demons. Also Max (the kid) said that Jace (the blonde guy) wasn’t his brother because Jace was adopted by the lightwoods at a young age so technically he’s not a Lightwood by blood. Also Jace and Alec (archer guy with neck ‘tat’) are something called ‘Parabatai’ which sounds hella complicated but basically means they’re like magically linked so they can fight together as one and they also kinda feel each others emotions more deeply if one were to die it would kill a part of the other one as well. The ending scene was actually Max getting his first rune and becoming an ‘official’ shadowhunter. The show is called shadowhunters. This is the family the Lightwoods. Ive only seen some of this show but all the ones you just saw are brothers and sisters. Except for Jace, I think he was like ‘adopted’ or taken in by their family. I don’t think they have power powers like magic but they hunt like dark beings and things. Those ‘tattoos’ are drawn onto them for different reasons such as protection, healing, other things I think. It wasn’t a 7 just kind of a squiggly thing :) Yeah they all are trained to fight and hunt these things so Alex is good at archery and pretty much everything else. Jace is good with swords and Izzy is also pretty well rounded. I think max (the little kid) is just Izzy and alecs younger brother and we saw him get his first mark (maybe a sign to initiate him into training?) It’s cool having you watch these ones because I haven’t seen everything unlike a majority of your other reactions.

Why this song is very good for this show is because the Show Shadowhunters is people who have ancestors from Angels, Or their powers are given to them by Angels to fight people called Downworlders or Demons, There are also Warlocks, Vampires, Werewolves, who are generally on their side, but they have their fair share of fights. So the Lightwoods, Alec, Izzy, Jace, and Max are Shadowhunters and do their fighting for good and for the Angels. Jace was adopted but he is still a Lightwood. The 'tattoos' are called Runes, they give them special abilities, like to turn invisible, to see and hear very far away, to be faster and stronger, but when they have them they need to activate them when they need them, before a fight or when they need to find someone or something. The one on Alec's neck that you thought was a 7, was actually more like a Z with a line through the center of it, It is a Deflect Rune, it does what you think it does.
