False. Persona 5 was nominated for Best Music in 2017. It lost to Nier Automata because of course it did, it was Nier Automata. Before P5 the series was niche even in the JRPG space so didn't get discussed much until P4 started really gaining traction well after its release.

Cause it has been nominated literally _every single year_ since it has been on *Steam* And sure, it didn't win, but the competition went hard in those years: - 2020 Doom Eternal won against P4G - 2021 Guardians of the Galaxy won against P5S - 2022 FF7 Remake won against P5R - 2023 TLOU1 Remake won against P5T The only one that got stolen IMO was 2021. Sure, GotG has a fantastic soundtrack, but it _must_ have been carried by fans of the movie. Persona 5 Strikers or NieR Replicant should have _easily_ taken it People hate on TLOU1's win, but P4G, a 2013 game got nominated in 2020, so let's not be hypocritical. But if you mean *The Game Awards* ...you're still wrong. In 2017, NieR: Automata took the win, but Persona 5 was nominated. Which is understandable. Both are in top 10 soundtracks of all time. And The Game Awards have been around since 2014. The only Persona games since then are: 2017 - Persona 5 2018 - Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight 2018 - Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight 2019 - Persona 5 Royal 2021 - Persona 5 Strikers 2023 - Persona 5 Tactica Royal is arguably the same game with 90% the same soundtrack as P5, so it's pretty much disqualified. Rhythm games can never get the award, it's basically cheating. And also, which would you even choose? That leaves us with three possible nominations. - 2017, which did happen. - 2021, which is absolutely a missed opportunity IMO. The competition was pretty great, but it deserved a nomination. - 2023, which is totally understandable. Tactica has one of the weakest soundtracks of any Persona game. And this year was really stacked with great OSTs. So, of the two biggest organizations that give out awards to games, they each have a very reasonable amount of nominations.

Persona 3 was released on July 13, 2006. I only know that because my son told me it was released the day he was born. You guys should play these games. They all have a color and a theme. Persona 3 was blue and death, Persona 4 is yellow and truth, Persona 5 is red and rebellion.

Great OST choice! The music from the Persona games are always a vibe. You guys should definitely play one of them and see how you like it! Best way I can describe it is if you had a high school and dating simulator mixed with minigames and Pokemon if the mons were all based on mythical/religious characters while having wild plotline. Yup, the Persona OSTs are quite the bop! There are other versions of Persona 3 that have new or exclusive music in them, like Persona 3 Portable and Persona 3: Reload. If you guys are curious for those ones check them out. I’ve heard there are extended versions out there. Try giving those a shot. The reason some of these ain’t the longest is due to them being made to play on loop in the background. Mass Destruction sounding like the Cyberchase theme? I don’t here much resemblance besides the female vocals kinda sounding a like. Sounds like a weird idea for a remix.

How to play this game without jamming out? Simple, you do not. Mass Destruction is the main battle theme and it makes the regular encounters enjoyable. You should listen to some of the other battle themes, especially The Battle for Everyone's Souls

I guess something you should note from listening to game OSTs is that generally speaking if the video ends with thw music fading out or ends abrudtly it generally means is a song meant to go on repeat. FES i believe is the fighting song for that games eseanitally epolouge content called The Answer. Figured i should mention this since you lot seemed a bit confused about that but hey, love your guys reactions to these games OSTs. As one who basically only listens to thing i love the sound of i dont have a specific genre i like and as a gamer i love the music in the games i play.

Nah "FES" is the song that plays in the opening movie for Persona 3 FES. "Mass Destruction FES" is the FES battle theme for the epilogue. It basically sounds like a second verse to the original Mass Destruction

Been enjoying the Persona OST reaction, I like many others here came across the channel from the Persona 5 OST reaction. I'm definitely sticking around more to see what else you guys react to or do as a group since its really chill with all of your discussion, breakdown, and jamming out to the OST. If you guys keep on doing reactions for these video game OST then my suggestion would be to check out the Xenoblade Chronicles series. It has so much amazing music that I'd be interested to see you all reaction to. From the first Xenoblade Chronicles game the top 3 tracks I'd recommend is "You Will Know Our Names", "Engage the Enemy", and "Gaur Plains" but there's plenty more that are great picks too.

You make the Power Rangers joke, but their is an in universe Power Rangers/Super Sentai show in the series called Featherman. It was introduced in Persona 2 Innocent Sin and has been in the series since. You get character costumes based on Featherman in other Persona games, and one of the characters even becomes an actress for one of the Featherman series.
