Hey Steph - loved the reaction and welcome to the wonderful world of Porcupine Tree and of Steven Wilson - the lead singer and primary composer for Porcupine Tree - who also has his own amazing solo career. I note someone else recommended Trains which is another song from this same album with a similar melancolic feel. A few others of similar type I would recommend would be Heartattack in a Layby, Buying New Soul or I Drive the Hearse. For any song by Porcupine Tree or Steven Wilson, the studio/official versions are always beautiful, but the live versions are even better! I promise you if you explore further here you will not regret it and there is no shortage of material. 12 albums by PT I believe and 8 from Steven Wilson. Other superb suggestions: The Raven that Refused to Sing, Pariah or Drive Home. Dive in and enjoy the journey.

The lead singer is Steven Wilson. Check out his solo material too. In particular, I think you'll appreciate the song/video for "Drive Home" (but you may need tissues). As for the band Porcupine Tree, I strongly suggest checking out their LIVE performance of the (epic) song "Anesthetize" (from the DVD "Anesthetize Live in Tilburg").

You'll definitely need a few tissues for Drive Home. More for Raven that Refused to Sing. And a whole box for Routine. Add another box if you pay attention to the lyrics of Heartattack in a Layby (Porcupine Tree song, not his solo work).

A beautiful reaction to this beautiful song.... I really do hope you cver lots more Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson songs. (Steven Wilson is the sunger, muti instumentalist and composer for both his solo work and for most of Porcupine Tree.).... Lots of good suggestions already... But I would also tell you to react to the live versions of their songs..They are on of the few bands that can reproduce the studio quality on stage... it's worth it.. you get an extra layer of emotion I think watching them live...

If you're going to check PTree out further, expect a lot of great ambient stuff and a lot that's much harder rock and prog than Lazarus. Quite a variety of musical explorations, actually.
