One thing you need to know about red velvet. Even though other groups have different concepts periodically, red velvet's concept is right in their name. They have a red side, which is the more catchy quirky fun pop style of music outfits and dance, and then you have the velvet side, which is the more mature. R&B jazzy type songs and the costumes and dance to go along with them.

If there's one thing you can be sure of, it's that SM groups are highly experimental. I also think that while Ice Cream Cake isn't an explicitly "Red Velvet creepy" creepy, it's likely the origin of that theme. Someone was like "this is kind of creepy... let's experiment with that" and here we are today with RV having the highest murder bodycount in kpop.

Yesss finally my girls❤️ One thing about RV is that you never know what to expect from their next release, they’ve tried so many different music genres and styles throughout the years, they have a dual concept where the Red represents their vibrant and fun side and the Velvet represents the mature and elegant side, but even within these two concepts they don’t stick to one sound. Some of their songs are also a mix of both sides, you’ll notice that in the more recent releases tho. Unfortunately, SM hasn't gone back and added subtitles to older videos after they started to include them sometime around 2020-2021 unless they totally remastered the video, which is very few. Yeri did join the group on the Ice Cream Cake mini-album which garnered them their first music show win.
