They used a robotic camera arm synced to the track so it would be smooth. It’s an old Louis Armstrong song. You missed that the tree topper is the Voiceplay logo

Great that they picked up an oldie and dusted it off beautifully! 🌹🕊

Happy to see you react to this fun one! J was a member a few years ago but he joined the Navy. It’s nice he can still join them sometimes! I love Omar, too. Actually their most recent features him! ❤

IIRC, Omar has recently moved to New York to pursue a career. I expect he'll still make guest appearances with VoicePlay from time to time, as he does in their latest, Party of a Lifetime. J fits in like a brother and it's always a pleasure to see him guest. Thanks for the great reaction. Yes, the boys keep stepping up their game!

Louis Armstrong sang this in 1953. Voiceplay released another new video last Friday.... Party of Your Lifetime. The company that makes the Warframe video games asked Voiceplay last year when they did Sleeping In The Cold Below to do this one as well for their new video game Warframe 1999. Beings Omar was in the other video Voiceplay asked him to return for this one as well. Right up your alley with the EDM

Top level reaction to a top level VoicePlay creation. And it's the first reaction where the set design was mentioned; it's definitely adding to the vibe.

This was originally done by Louis Armstrong. I absolutely loved J. None's homage to Louis.

Thanks for this reaction to VoicePlay's Christmas release this year.They are always so much fun! Also, Geoff's solo Christmas release this year is awe-inspiring

You noticed almost everything important on the set. Layne’s wife Cindi did the set decoration. But go back and look at the tree topper. It’s a 3D printed golden VoicePlay logo. (They also sent them as a surprise gift to their top level fans.)

Love this - done by Louis Armstrong back in 1953. You will be wowed by J None who towards the end of the song manages to convince the late great Satchmo to share his song. Really J None does it perfectly - love it. Love the VoicePlay tree-topper. Omar is in the newest VoicePlay when WarFrame was doing a 1999 update, they contacted VP to do the song.

Happy Holidays!!! Glad you got to spend some time with the fam and you still got back in time to check this out with us. 😆 This one is right up their alley. They gave it that spooky quality that is just so VoicePlay, lol. Loved your reaction!! ❤

Omar is in their newest song that dropped on 12/13. The game developers heard VoicePlay's cover of "Sleeping in the Cold Below" from Warframe and contacted them to put the VoicePlay spin on a song from the new Warframe update that also dropped on the 13th. The new game is Warframe 1999 and as part of the story line there's a '90s Boy Band that gets 'infected' and becomes one of the things you must fight in the game. VoicePlay did a great cover of the Boy Band's song "Party of a Lifetime". And they all had fun being a Boy Band that is turning into the 'infected'. I have to say that the song slaps. And that's from someone who didn't much like Boy Bands of the '90s. But VP upped the beat and gave it a funkier bass line and we even get an Eli metal scream right after the 'infected' part starts. Omar is front and center in it.

About THIS song, since I went off on their new one. J is downright channelling Satchmo here! Louis Armstrong was the original singer of this song, back in the 1950s. And that cool camera work was because they got a new robotic arm camera. Eli had to deal with getting his computer with the light program to connect and communicate with the program of the camera movements, but having the camera run on a preset run means they can get up off the couch and move to a new position but have the camera move in exactly the same way each time. Just like Eli sets the lights (and other things) to perform at exactly the same spot in the music each time.

You noticed the stockings but check the VoicePlay logo on the top of the 🌲. This their first time using a robot camera. Yup it was snowing.

Liking the new look! J. None _still is_ a member of VoicePlay, and until he or one of the guys says differently. I know he's on sabbatical singing for the Navy, but he's still very much a part of the group. And I agree with another commenter, you should check out the Louis Armstrong original version of this song. It scared me a bit as a kid, but Louis was a one of a kind singer! Happy holidays! ❤💚

J has said otherwise. He’s said the Navy is his career now and he plans to stay there for life. I don’t know where these other rumors keep coming from.
@DravenGalАй бұрын
@Gael4ce Oh, well thank you for that info. But at heart, I still consider him a member. Even if only a part time one.♥💚
@DravenGalАй бұрын
@Gael4ce Wait, what "other rumors?" My comment was just my opinion. Hmmm, my dad was a career Navy man. He was a Captain, and an Opthamologist. I still have his dress uniform. I miss my daddy, especially this time of year. So many good memories. 💚♥

They used a "Cinebot" robotic camera for the first time. You program the camera movement in advance, and it's saved to any second of the song (Layne did it with Ben, the guy with the Cinebot, a day before the shooting). Afterwards you can shoot multiple takes (e.g. with the seat order switches) and the camera will always be at the exact position of the part of the song - no human can do this, especially with a moving and tilting hand cam. That way, you can add morph effects in post-production and blend the pictures from different takes perfectly.

This is a homage to Louis (pronounced Loo iss) Armstrong with the voice and especially with the scat singing both by J None.
