И сам этот голос, и вся очень сложная вокальная партия далеко выходят за рамки всего, что мы ожидаем услышать, воспринимая поп-музыку. Продюсерская работа? - Разумеется, она была, как и полагается на телевизионном шоу. Понятно желание человека, не чуждого музыке, услышать голос Дианы Анкудиновой с минимальной обработкой. На что расчитано подобное желание? Очевидно, на то, что после такого прослушивания многое прояснится. Боюсь, что любого, кто на это надеется, ждёт конфуз. Такие записи есть; но если он попробует послушать, например, "My Love", особенно самое первое выступление в "Гнезде глухаря" - ему вряд ли станет легче; появятся новые вопросы и новые поводы для удивления. "Me Voy" или "Кони привередливые" усложнят эту непростую картину ещё сильнее. Ему придётся смириться с тем, что он услышал самый необычный голос из всех, что когда-либо слышал; а вполне вероятно - вообще из всего, что ему когда-нибудь предстоит услышать. И не просто уникальный голос - а голос, подкреплённый превосходной вокальной техникой, выразительным артистизмом, сильной эмоциональностью и энергетикой. После знакомства с 5-6 любыми песнями в её исполнении недоверие безусловно исчезнет; удивление безусловно останется; и если вы любите задавать вопросы и углубляться в то, что вам не до конца понятно - то и эти вопросы будут возникать неизбежно при дальнейшем знакомстве с Дианой Анкудиновой, - вероятно, до тех пор, пока не станет ясно, что разобраться с этим сложным явлением до конца никогда не удастся. She knows how to manipulate her voice to create the sound she wants to use to bring us her version of a song. This was just an afterthought song. She explains she sang it a few days prior at her vocal exams and wanted to know if her audience wanted to hear it, but it wasn't planned and she didn't have a soundtrack to it. Rumor has it the audience is still applauding to this very day! She does lots of stuff like this. Quite frankly, I think she tires of proving this is her real voice to people.

She is certainly one of a kind! To the best of my understanding the 'strange effect' that people pick up on in her voice is not a filter of any sort but a style of polyphonic throat singing. When we hear that term we usually think of Tibetan Lamas and Mongolian throat singing but there are many styles and variations. It is the sound of the silk road which stretched from China through central Asia all the way to the middle east. Diana was born in far east Russia closer to Mongolia and Japan than Moscow so maybe that is why she has that affectation. Think of it like plucking a guitar string on a really nice acoustic and you get a halo effect where the other softer tones resonate with the plucked string. That, I believe is why people feel there is some effect. Here is a rendition of Rechenka kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHTQmattd8mdb7M in an almost unplugged, small, intimate environment. Also bear in mind she was just 15 when these videos were made. She is a seductive siren that brings us to an emotional reality that can shake you to your core. Many people spontaneously start tearing up and crying (as does Diana sometimes at the end of powerful performances). The first time I saw only the promo for Can't Help Falling in Love, I shook bodily and many listens later it still devastates me. Enjoy the ride. There is more to this girl than most realize. You may hear it on the PERSONAL JESUS where she’s on The SHOW MASK GO ON..even that ORIGINAL was taken down. I JUST DON’T APPRECIATE reactors WHO AWANT YO CALL HER VOCALS A GIMMICK. You are going to find that there is very little "production" with her voice. The first song, Can't Help Falling in Love, was from a singing contest and she was 18. This is also a singing contest and she was only 15 I think. Another song you should check out is Rechenka, also done when she was 15.

I see NO ONE ☝🏽 explained that this TALENT SHOW was for ORPHANS AND UNDER PRIVILEGED CHILDREN..her being 15 years old. I had the privilege of watching the SERIES prior to the SANCTIONS and the contestants were AMAZING. The MV we have NOW is SADLY not the ORIGINAL as it had millions of views. She’s absolutely AMAZING but she’s not for everyone. There are people who enjoy the SAME tone and consistent SINGERS who are NOT UNIQUE. I have been a fan for years now. I prefer INTERNATIONAL SINGERS and MUSIC because of their various STYLE and CULTURAL DIVERSITY.

I didn't mean to be overly critical of your reaction. You do a terrific job. You are not alone in not being so fond of her voice. She was rejected when she applied to Russia's top musical institute. They thought there was something wrong with her vocal folds. She has a unique sound. Her singing voice is considerably different than her speaking voice. You are right that she is manipulating her voice to get that sound. Difficult to say just what that manipulation is.

She has several live a paella versions of Rechenka on her channel. The most recent was posted a few days ago as a tribute to her late vocal coach. She was motivated to sing acapella at least partially as an answer to skeptics such as yourself. That truly is her singing voice. The unusual sound is not a product of a digital effect. It really shouldn’t be so hard to believe. Listen to Jackie Wilson, the R and B singer from the late 50s and early 60s. He had a sound somewhat similar to Diana’s, and that was long before the era of digital effects.

Now with a live performance things aren’t always perfect but this particular video has some special moments ! Check out from 1 year ago two buskers on Grafton Street, Allie Sherlock and Jacob Koopman. Now Jacob is looping with guitar and has some electronic drum beats also some voice effects on some of his vocals , Allie as usual plays it straight you just get her pure vocals, that’s it ! If you want something less produced I suggest the live sets she has done for Autoradio or the intimate lives she does at the Wood Grouse Nest Bard Club. The EQ is still very good, but it hasn't been messed with by TV people.
