The second verse he's talking about humanity becoming robots and being controlled. Like we're in a simulation like the Matrix. Wormwood was used by the CIA for it's hallucinogenic properties to spike Cointreau around the MK ULTRA experiment time period. It masks well with pure alcohols because wormwood is used in vermouth and absinthe so it just tastes like part of the drink. I also think there's probably a jab here at big pharma because Wormwood has been studied extensively by the US government but there's interestingly no conclusive studies on it's medicinal uses hinting at a cover up.
