Kind of late, but the change in keys was probably done on purpose to break your attention and think about the verses and words or grab your attention for the next words coming. This guy is very smart and does everything with a reason behind it. I grew up listening to this guy, this took place in the 90s a different time from now where this happened all the time. And it did happen but not him, he knew the guys and they all died so he made the song. I've been to his projects. Now it's wayyy different.
