I believe the one actually playing the harmonica on the song is Charlie Musselwhite, who the band had asked to guest on the album. There are a couple of other songs where he is playing the harmonica on the album. Live performances had Andrew Farris playing it. In regards to Kylie as has been mentioned by others in the comments, her life really changed after meeting and dating Hutchence. She was very much a bubble gum popstar and Hutchence had a lot to do with the person she becomes later (her words). While the relationship lasted 2 years, it's clear in interviews that she has done whenever asked about Michael she is clearly still in love with him. She did attend his funeral where their good friend Nick Cave sang.

The song's title originates from the night Hutchence and then-girlfriend Kylie Minogue attended the debut of the 1989 romantic drama film The Delinquents, which stars Minogue. For the premiere, she wore a blonde wig whose colour she called "suicide blonde"

No, it's a real harmonica! You can see that on the Wembley 1991 concert. This is a real band that can play and write their own music. They always remind people that they are a real live working band with six equal members. "America's influential Musician magazine called INXS "the best live band in the world." They broke so many barriers and really transform alternative rock of that time. They are completely original and no one has been able to duplicate them. U2 tried to do a few INXS style/ inspired songs and they did okay but did not come close and you don't hear them much. Back in the day U2 got a lot of press, but INXS was the hotter ticket. The two groups were friends, and had many cross over fans, but it seemed like audiences preferred INXS because of every factor. I am not putting down U2 (although I have many issues with Bono, he is involved with some nefarious activities, that I predict will come to light within the next couple of years, as public rumors/disclosures come.) Back in the day Michael and Bono were BFFs. I am not an expert, but I turned my love of INXS into an Independent Study in college back in the day, as it was all happening. A lot of the history has been revised and memory holed because of circumstances of Michaels death.

I think up to now, you have checked out a lot of the later INXS. Early INXS is a whole different bag. Also, please..please..they are NOT called INexus. It's pronounced in excess. Kylie and Michael were quite a team. I promise that their relationship has influenced a ton of things she has done. Please check out anything live from Wembley Stadium. For some earlier work, The One Thing is another great choice. Their older work has more of a syth/new wave sound.
