What Burton started with that Canadian powerhouse voice in yhe late 60s, so it was continued in the 80s with Mike Reno's powerhouse vocals. Oh, Canada!!!!!!!!

Thank you yet again! I always enjoy hearing my Canadian boys and Mike Reno is still rocking those vocals to this day! I agree with others 'Working for the Weekend" is great and the video is just as cheesy as you'd expect from the 80's. You'll love it! 😁Cheers from Ontario, Canada!!

My favorite Loverboy song. Check out their song Lovin' Every Minute of It and the lead singer's name is Mike Reno. He has a song with Heart's Ann Wilson called Almost Paradise from the Footloose soundtrack!

Our great 80's Canadian band. You need to check out their other big hit next, Everybody's Working For The Weekend. Then it's a must to follow it with a reaction to the hilarious SNL Chippendales sketch with Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley. It's such an SNL classic and you'll understand why a lot of people automatically think of that sketch whenever they hear the song.

Candlebox recently covered this song, did it straight with no embellishment and absolutely killed it. Even paid homage to this original video with their video, even though their’s was done pandemic remote zoom style, with each of them in their own home studios. Kevin Martin even nails the scream and the bass player’s wife provides the backing vocals, you should check it out.

How has nobody covered this? Cut out the 80s synth intro. Duplicate the heavy guitar intro, but extend it quite a bit, its way too short. The rest is great, just do the same , emphasizing that heavy riff. Maybe an organ, instead of the synth stuff in the background. This is a great song, but updated it could be all time great.
@vampfashions7 ай бұрын
It IS all time great, but you go ahead and make a cheap remake that we can all listen to and say "why do they need to f*ck up good songs."
@evanpenn17 ай бұрын
@@vampfashions I hear what you're saying, it is great. But it should be more popular. They could mess up a remake, but it could be even better. Suppose Metallica covered it, for instance. I, personally don't like the synth, as great as the song still is. I just long for a cleaner version, without the 80's fluff.
@vampfashions7 ай бұрын
@@evanpenn1 Metallica are senior citizens. The song is well liked 40 years after it was released. If you remake it, it will last as well as today's "popular" music.
