Pink Floyd is Legendary, one of the GOATs in Rock music history, listed in the top 3 by many Rock Critics, and fans too. Google them, you'll see how incredibly phenomenal they were/are! Pink Floyd was formed in London in 1964, they've sold hundreds of millions of albums worldwide. During the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s they routinely sold out every concert date! Pink Floyds' genre is generally speaking is "Rock", they're in all the Rock categories, but their sub-genre is "Progressive Rock". Also sometimes called "Psychedelic Rock", or "Acid Rock". Those names illustrate exactly what you felt while, and what everyone else feels, when listening to Pink Floyds incredible music. It's a spacey, floating, trance, kind of feeling, almost an out of body experience some have said. Pink Floyds roots are mainly in American Blues, just like virtually all of the other great Rock Band to come out of England in the 1960s. In fact, they took their band name from two old time American Blues guitarists from the early to mid 1900s, they were,..... PINK Anderson, (1900 to 1974), and FLOYD Council, 1911 to 1976) Check out their 1994 Pulse Concert, this concert is 30 years into their band career, so they're in their late 40s, early 50s in 1994. This Pulse concert has jaw dropping performances of virtually all the songs they perform, including this song, "Comfortably Numb". Which btw, has an astounding David Gilmour guitar solo that is around 4 minutes long, to end the song. David Gilmour has been Pink Floyd guitarist and lead vocalist from 1968 to today, actually. Possibly the greatest emotionally transcending guitar solo ever played, with an incredible light and laser show Floyd is famous for!

Pink Floyd is my all time favorite rock band...You can never go wrong with any of their songs....There is a video for this song that will really mess with your mind....Their genre is-ROCK ( psychedelic space-rock and blues-based progressive rock ).

The music you listened to was taken from the album. While The Wall (the album it's on) is unique among Pink Floyd albums in that they commissioned a movie of the album, the band is well known for creating soundscapes and for having amazing transitions between songs on albums. So often if you listen to a Pink Floyd song by itself you'll hear their transitions at the beginning and end of the song. Another classic by them is "Time" on the album "The Dark Side of the Moon". I'd say reactors typically start out with these two songs and also the songs "Wish You Were Here" and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". They have a very high level of quality and beauty on all of their songs though, so you can't really go off track in picking songs to listen to.

I forgot,... are you listening to Pink Floyd through your phone speaker? Blasphemy if so! lol. Headphones or quality earbuds are a must when listening to Pink Floyd, it's one of the two rules for listening to PF. The other rule is never, ever, ever, pause or talk over a David Gilmour guitar solo! Haha,...

This month I’m doing reuploads for mainly blocked videos from 3 years ago. I’ve learned to use headphones since then. I’ve grown a lot since this release, I do not pause on guitar solos anymore 😅

Your comment about the symbol was spot on. It is light refracting into its separate colours after passing through a prism.

When it comes to a genre with Pink Floyd people try to encapsulate them in one genre or another but when it comes down to it the genre is Pink Floyd because they are their own sound!! When you listen to another song it'll sound surprisingly different because with Pink Floyd when you think you've pinned them down as to what they're going to sound like the next song will always surprise you!!

The symbol you’re referring to is just the album cover for Dark Side of the Moon, this song is from their album The Wall. You can’t truly experience them without headphones 🎧

This whole album was also a movie, unsurprisingly called "Pink Floyd The Wall"....

It's a very creative spacey sound present in some way or another in all thier songs..often took 2-3 years in between LP's to make it that way, too (They were very-production savvy, using every recording trick there was.)

This song is from "The Wall" the image that you have posted is the cover of Dark Side of the Moon. Both albums are masterpieces. Just clearing that up. Floyd's rabbit hole goes down for just about forever. Like 40 or 50 songs. No joke. They are a British rock band. Some refer to them as psychedelic rock I personally consider them British Rock. You will want to check out some of the following if you liked that. Another Brick in the wall Part 2 Shine on you crazy diamond Welcome to the machine Money Have a cigar Wish you were here . Then eventually listen to the entire Darkside of the Moon album all at once. It's a conceptual album that one song bleeds into the next and is intended to listen to as a whole. It is arguably one of if not the best album of all time. It was on billboards current top 100 albums for decades. Glad you liked this song it is one of my favorite songs . Enjoy.

Just liked and subscribed in the hopes you will watch and listen to the live version of this song, from the Pulse concert (1994). The guitar solo I’m this song is epic. The one in the live concert went down as the best guitar solo of all time. If you like guitars…🤷🏻♀️ Pink Floyd is their own genre. All of their songs are unique. Their lyrics are timeless. Heard their songs a million times, but for example: the song “Time” didn’t really sink deep until this last year, when I turned 54. I cry now. I recommend The Great Gig in the Sky, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Hey You, Us and Them. For now. ;)
