First Time Reaction | Rammstein - "Adieu" (Official Video)

During a premiere of Adieu clip, there was an intro clip - showing exact ending of Deutschland, with glass coffin in space and a laser coming from some point of the Earth. Then there was a zoom to the Earth and it ended up exactly where the Adieu video begins 😊 That was epic!

One interpretation is that the band kills its past ("Mutter" and before), frees itself from the musical chains from their older times. They don't want to be clones doomed to repeat themselves - one needs to evolve to grow. The outro shows what happen if you don't succeed ... But with Rammstein you never know 😉 (btw the outro is a remix of "Zeit")

This song and Zeit were actually written because of a close friend of Till and Paul passing away. This was their way of dealing with it.

You can also see the red laser beams in the "Deutschland"-Video. In german a "red line" ("roter Faden") refers to the connection of different (unconnected at first sight) substories to a whole story above. At least it makes sense in the "Deutschland"-Video, cause all the different scenes are linked to the german history in a way.

I've read that Rammstein was asked whether this is a goodbye of the band and they answered that this is not their intention and they don't have plans to end up with their music. The whole album - which has a kind of melancholic touch (even in the funny tracks) - was made under the impression of personal losses of the band members. In this context, lyric-wise "Adieu" looks to me as the feeling of a lost fight against death ... not of the own death, but of loved ones ... and to finally accept that there is nothing to stop it. A kind of sad acceptance of the inevitable. Video-wise they are referencing to the time when they had produced their album "Mutter" and almost parted and had to reinvend themselves - which they did fortunately.

Cool that you guys use educatedmarine! It will help! When I first saw this video, as an huge Rammstein fan, I cried my eyes out!! (Ok I am a female) .. I thought it was their goodbye to us : fans!! But .. turns out it is a goodbye from Till and Paul (and the others too) to friends whom died. As also .. saying goodbye to "the old Rammstein", there are hidden clues in the video .. for instance a 'Mutter reference' on the door .. The end is the remix of the song Zeit, done by Olafur Arnalds, Rammstein asked him to create something nice. I think it is gorgeous!

It could just be a musical reflection of their own artistic relevance to the musi industy, which is exploiting artist of any kind, just to make a revenvue on them, whatever it takes. Even after their death, the industry is creating some clones of them, just for getting m.ore and mor profit out of them. But hey… this is just one interpretation of many othersh and surely, Rammstein have gained a lot of success & money throughout their whole career… while others, maybe equally talented and giftet were long left behind. And they don't even get virtual clone representations in such a video. They are just forgotten.
