You seem to have misheard/misread the actual "blue flood" (the German word for "flood" is "Flut" and pronounced FLUTE which I guess almost sounds like the word "food"). It lyrically describes the flow of ink used to needle a tattoo under your skin (cf. full line in chorus "Aus der Nadel blaue Flut" = "From the needle a blue flood").

Просто английский и немецкий относятся к одной языковой семье германских языков. Английский во многом произошёл от немецкого, но со временем гораздо сильнее упростился.
