I will forever hold this concert close to my heart. I turned 4 February 26th, 1995. I like to think that this was a birthday gift from her to me. I think I can speak for all Texans, when I say that her passing left a massive hole in our hearts.. and again I speak for all Texans.. Yes to the whole concert! She actually has a live, free concert(KZbin) she did in her hometown in ‘94 that was released as an album “Selena Live” & won a Grammy for it!

Yasss we Love Selena! I learned everything about Selena when i was 16 yrs old, bought this concert on dvd and would sing every song. She is my singing inspiration, i started singing at 7 but Selena was the reason i started singing and learning from her videos on how to belt and pronounce the words 👏🙌❤️‍🔥 do more Selena ✨️

Her last concert was in Miami a few weeks before she was killed. This was done in February of 95 and she died on March 31 95.

She designed that outfit 💜 she actually designed most of her stage outfits and would sometimes put them together the night before. She was starting to get her clothing store/designs out before she was murdered 🫤 Also to note: because the astrodome was big, round, and echoey, they were hearing themselves back seconds later and had to remember to be exactly 3-5 seconds ahead of the beat they’re hearing for it to be on cue(no ear pieces). Truly amazing artistry from everyone involved 🩷

Have you ever watched the Selena biopic from 1995 starring Jennifer Lopez? I highly recommend it. It was the Selena Biopic that introduced me to her after her death and i’m a big fan of the real Selena now. I’m from Scotland in the UK. You don’t get many people who knows of Selena Quintanilla Perez here. I love her music english and spanish. Can you imagine how global she would have become if Yolanda hadn’t murdered her. All that dancing and she never winded...Sadly, Selena was shot and killed (murdered) by the jealous manager of her boutiques, Yolanda Saldivar who had been the president of Selena's fan club. Selena's family discovered that Saldívar had been embezzling money from both the fan club and boutiques, which led to her getting fired in the first week of March. she and Selena met on March 31st 1995 one month after the Astrodome concert and ultimately, Saldivar shot Selena in the back with a .38 cal. as Selena tried to get away. Sorry if I'm telling you something you already knew. RIP Selena BTW Selena's sister Suzette Quintanilla - drums, percussion, backing vocals
