BAND-MAID, themselves, refer to the Maidiacs as Masters & Princesses, because they're maids. Yes, they've done many anime theme songs, like 'Shamble' which is the season two closer for the Netflix anime, Kengan Ashura, however I'm going to recommend 'Unleash' in which they appear in anime form themselves.

"Freedom", the official live video, is always a Maidiac favorite. Band-Maid just recently released another album title "Epic Narratives". There quite a few new songs on it. The band has released an official music video for "Forbidden Tales" from the album. Several songs on the album have already been released in video form, either live or official music video. Those songs include "Bestie", "Memorable", "Show Them", "Magie, "Protect You", "Brightest Star", and "Shambles". If you haven't reacted to any of those songs yet, any of them are well worth reacting to. "Shambles", and "Protect You" have been used in anime features.

The back-up singer and rythym guitarist came up with the idea of Band Maid. Her name is Miku. and she is known as the "pigeon." Check out the videos on each member of this band to see how it came together as if fate knew they must exist, by a truly great documentarian film maker - Ohrenje. Glad you like Band Maid. You will find that you are now among millions of fans who love these women. I am in my seventies and this band is the greatest band I have heard in 35 years. I always point out to reactors on this video to the left side the stage, notice Konami and miku cheering for Akane, they are clapping and pumping their fists during her drum solo. How many other bands cheer for their bandmates?? I don't know of any.

That second singer had the idea for the band (after working in a Maid Cafe). She had been in an Idol band, but quickly figured out that here voice would not the power and range to break HUGE. So she fired herself and turned to Kanami and said ;teach me to play guitar so we can sound even BETTER!

You were right -- the bassist is the one in black who doesn't sing. The band founder once described the bassist as dressed like an "assassin maid", whatever that is. She also plays in stockinged feet -- not shoes -- so she is sometimes called the "barefoot assassin". By the way, "Freedom" was my intro to Band-Maid. It caught my attention for many reasons -- the great drum solo, the costumes, the sheer fun of the performance including the audience participation and the band members pulling faces at one another -- but chiefly because it looked so easy that I didn't know whether they were very talented or just playing simple stuff. So I watched a reaction to "Freedom" by a musician who confirmed that Band-Maid were talented musicians who made everything look easy. And the more I watched, the more I loved their music -- and their enjoyment as they play. There is complexity to Band-Maid's music -- especially the songs and instrumentals written by Kanami (lead guitarist). I recommend "Blooming" and "From Now On" as great examples of her compositional skills ... but there are many others, including the latest album.

Band Maid was the rhythm guitarist/backup singer's idea. Miku had won an idol contest, and when the band from that dissolved after a year, she took her idea down to another production company. Miku had worked in a Maid Café, and thought it a good contrast to the hard rock sound. Check out the seven episode biography of the band members by Ohrenje. It will endear you to each member.

Another song off Brand New Maid (track 6) and a favourite in live performances. I can't recommend highly enough every album Band-Maid have released. They are the very best progressive hard rock band on the planet. All of their songs are excellent - every single one - and they are all different. The Band-Maid discography is like a never-ending box of chocolates - you pick a chocolate and you never really know what you've going to get when you unwrap it.

Hi, Kiwi. Speaking of fruits, Akane the drummer (nicknamed the gorilla), likes bananas which give her a lot of energy and she also has an incredible appetite. They are fun on and off stage but their songs can be very emotional. They are also badasses because their rock is sometimes very heavy.
