The person she is talking to in the pre chorus part where she says “every single minute I’m without you I regret it” she is talking to her younger self. The symbolism of her writing “rosé” on the mirror as a younger girl shows how she dreamed of being who who is now, and writing “Roseanne” on the mirror when she is an adult shows how she misses that person she was then. She was involved in the writing of this one and it’s very special to her. She said it is more of a sentimental thing and not like super serious. Of the four girls, Rosé is the one most connected to music in its most fundamental state. I recommend watching her studio sessions when she sings covers and plays piano. She also has some songs she performs live where she plays piano and guitar and you can really see her change when she is connecting to the music more. It’s funny because sometimes she gives me the impression that she really doesn’t even fully believe that she is where she is doing what she is doing. She is precious.

Rosanne Park is her true English name. Her Korean name is Park Chae-young. When speaking Korean the girls call her Chae-young (Lisa being most likely to use this when she is trying to get her attention). When speaking English they call her Rose or “Rosey” which was her nickname in Australia. She had two lives in Australia, her school life were she was Rosey and her life at home and in the Korean community where she was Chae-young. This was explained in the Netflix documentary “Light up the Sky.” It is a must watch for you two.

Have to be honest, Rose' and Jisoo bring tears to my eyes and that bittersweet lump in the throat. Jisoo has that sultry lounge singer voice that makes you feel like she's talking to just you, and Rose' has this ethereal, other worldly, angelic voice that absolutely blows right thru you. It's somehow solid and powerful but also heartbreakingly frail all at the same time. Our drop dead stunner, cold opener Jennie and our beloved wild child Lisa are that hot flash and bang duo that grab your attention and lock you in, buckle you up and set you for Jisoo and Rose'. There is a song, The Happiest Girl the group sang( in full english) off their latest album( audio/listening only. And it may be a bit off in the future for you two lovely people). There has been no song that has made me weep so openly that my husband walking by stopped and checked on me, and at the time I had no idea why. I have since been able to place the ' why', but that's not the point, it's about how this group- unlike any other I have listened to-honestly, has no weak link. They ALL stand solid on their own ground, which makes them so damn good together. They are ego-less with each other, and that is so very refreshing. They are genuine, through and through. Thank you for reacting to them and so many other wonderful artists to give your view point. I watched your Slipknot reaction as well. Have a few non K-pop requests, but will leave those on your other reaction videos. Side note: Our daughter sings this song to her dad...often after he drops something...she's silly that way.

Such a sweet gift, Mrs. Coach! That Rose' poster had some especially wonderful colors! You guys found your way to the message for sure. (Though understandably side-tracked for a minute by that majestic high note.) If you remember from Light Up the Sky, paraphrasing Rose' "In our trainee days, we were surrounded by music, now it's more like work, and we have so many obligations. I have to find time for music, so since I have a hard time sleeping, I stay awake and enjoy music alone." I know I don't have many of the exact words there, but that was the sentiment. Watching the video from that perspective you can clearly see current Rose' and Park Chae-young from the past are haunting the same places, Rose' in her fancy drip and a demolished old house, Roseanne (Park Chae-young) simply dressed in that same place when it was lived in and vibrant. The only time the two can happily spend time 'together' is at the piano. It's so sweet, and also tragic.

I think the meaning of the song can be gleaned from the imagery of the video. Rose and Roseanne (her birth name) are both represented in their meeting of each other. Rose the star, dressed in pink, meets and smiles at her younger self ( Roseanne) who dreams of being a star, writing Rose on the mirror: all the while the real star, the pink clad Rose, smiles at her younger self with fondness. I guess the younger Rosanne thought that fame would be different not realizing that, despite her success, nothing has changed. It's like both of you have said, on numerous occasions, stardom and fame did not change any of these girls who have the same things remain of value to them both before and after they become global icons.
