According to Rosie herself, the track was laid down and then they left the chorus alone before deciding to add the synth... other Blinks and the song credits tell me that that killer sound is courtesy of the almost mythical Jorgen Odergard... He does this sort of drop for a living... How cool to be the genius that is Teddy Park and just get on the phone, hey, Jorgen, dude, wanna add a riff to a song? YG already has on hand the best studio/stage band in pop with Band Six... but Teddy wasn't afraid to stretch boundaries...
