Love yourself Outro:Tear was written and produced by SUGA, RM and J-Hope wrote their rap segments! All three of the boys are wearing black Dior outfits. This is a classic live performance at Wembley stadium! The story behind the lyrics: At that time BTS were talking about disbanding, they had a lot of stress that year because they were getting more well-known in the western part of the world. They were more in demand to perform and to show up at interviews! So yes this was a very stressful time and SUGA wanted to express it as he always does with his genius producing and his insightful lyrics! When it was all finished all seven members got together and the lyrics were red and the emotions started to flood in, they cried a lot. The interpretation of TEAR: *RM ‘s meaning behind his rap was a literal tear to cry to express the emotion. *Suga ‘s meaning TEAR to tear or to rip away as in breaking apart or tearing apart our relationship as in the seven members. *J-Hope ‘s meaning FEAR, to become afraid of the outcome that the relationship is over and unable not to come to terms because the fear is so strong that the relationship is hanging by a thread! IMO any other western type of rap song that is out there can be compared to this. I may be biased because I am a fan I am army but this is the example of BTS’s incredible lyrics ,emotional word play and thought process behind every single song they create! Hobi's live verse always gets me, too. I can see it a million times, but his raw emotion always makes me tear up. It makes me feel something no other song on the planet can get me to feel.

Suga spoke about writing the song when they were all going through a hard time and even considered disbanding. He said he played it for the members and they all cried together, it was really an emotional process for them and for armys also.

Absolutely iconic performance. JHope's emotional ending is thrilling. Their stage presence is truly amazing. Lots of people talk about their duality as they are so goofy in real life and then they pull off a performance like this.💜

Yes, you are absolutely right about RM ! He has this ' prestance ' this 'Je ne sais quoi ' that makes him stand out and makes you want him to be around when bad things happen . He gives this feeling he will handle things ! And he was (handling so much since he is 19 !! But it is taking a toll on him ,like we saw in this years FESTA dinner vid !! So , for me knowing this, makes it easier to ' accept ' their time off as a group! )

One of the most intense live performances. And although Suga wrote the initial guide idea (which made all of BTS cry when they heard it and were thinking of breaking up, I personally credit this song with being a portion of the reason they realized they should stay together) but Jhope goes so intense especially in the custom Dior outfits they all wore.

In true BTS fashion they've "hidden" yet another meaning of tear in the song lyrics. Suga says T.E.A.R. which is a coping mechanism for loss: T - To accept the reality of the loss E - Experience the pain of the loss A - Adjust to the new environment without the lost person R - Reinvest in the new reality They truly are lyrical kings! 💜

As you seem to be connecting to Jhope's rap style, passion, etc, I think you would really enjoy his solo stuff & the Lollapalloza concert set he did as the headlining act. What I think you might find interesting actually which I've been doing myself is listening to his mv's/ songs like Ego, Daydream from 2-4 yrs ago then his solo stuff from this year. Everyone got surprised by him there. Such a switch up of his persona, darker imagery, subject matter & atmosphere in More, Arson & the other recent songs from his album.

Love every time you just go "Damn" after a j-hope part bc same. 😂 He has a great understanding of an audience's journey. It's what makes him a great performer, imo. RM might be known for his lyricism and Suga for his flows, but j-hope knows how to grab you by the collar and take you on a ride with peaks and valleys and explosive punctuations. You can even see it in Outro: Tear - RM's verse is very verbose and he comes in at a 10 and stays at a 10. Meanwhile, j-hope starts at like a 5 and slowly ratchets up the tension to a 7 or 8. Then at the primal scream (in the bg), he kicks it into high gear and takes the song to a 10, and then he abruptly leaves you as breathless as he is when he drops the tension from 10 to 0. That's a master storyteller for you.

I'm so glad you reacted to Tear, this song holds a special place in my heart knowing that it is about the guys and near disbandment, as soon as that first note is played I can feel the pain and this performance at Wembley is legendary, along with Hobis Dior outfit. Was performed at Wembley Stadium. Glad to see you back to form as the last Busan concert the audio quality became a source of ongoing drama relegating reaction to the performance to the background. Often if you are dissatisfied with the audio, you can switch to alternatives and keep the reaction within focus as was the case with Busan. Enjoy BTS More which FYI is run by a Swedish lady usually has top tier audio with translations. But good engagement here which is the strength of your channel.
