Not only do they have nonstop calls, traffic stops, DUI checkpoints, traffic accidents, etc, but they also go through regular training, write reports, collect evidence, appear in court to testify on cases, large funeral escorts, security details for community events like concerts and parades, all sorts of things. It leaves little time for actual positive community outreach. I’m military and we have a saying, “Leaders often spend 90% of their time on 10% of their soldiers”. Meaning that majority of their time is spent on the troublemakers or those falling behind in training or something. There are bad cops, but the good ones far outweigh the bad. Unfortunately, people fall into the leftist media trap and all they want to post is negative, instead of posting how officers go to schools to talk to the kids, escort bullied kids around, adopt kids they rescue from bad situations, play basketball with kids on the street, etc.

My mom is 59 years old in just a few weeks and she hated rap for the longest time but now she’s there for every single one of Tom’s songs. My point is it's not that simple. And regardless of what we as individuals feel about her being a role model, the truth is that the media portrays her as such. Why wouldn't they want to be just like that? Why would they want to speak up for someone when they see that people like that get hate thrown at them? I really enjoyed the video! I am 45 and he is saying things that would have even been relevant when I was in my teens and twenties. My adopted father was extremely racist and he tried to make me the same way but I've never understood how you could hate someone you don't even know! But talking about how long it takes the police to get to you, I had to call the police 2 weeks ago and after about 20-30 minutes I get a call from the officer telling me he wasn't going to be able to make it. It wasn't life and death on my part so it wasn't a big deal but it could have been life and death for my neighbor...if my granddaughter had been woken up my husband wouldn't have been nice. But I'm so glad that there is someone like Tom Macdonald out there who is willing to be the voice that starts the conversation! Thanks for making this video!
