Stevie is a Savage. She didn't write some whiny song about breaking up with her boyfriend..she wrote a masterpiece and made him perform it on stage...

Feminist delusion. Lindsey Buckingham decided Fleetwood Mac would not include "Silver Springs" in the "Rumours" album and forbade ... yes, FORBADE ... the public performance of the song for over twenty years. In case you didn't know, "Silver Springs" was supposed to have been included on the "Rumours" album but Buckingham just said, "No." Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were TOXIC together (and apart, too). They constantly cheated on one another, with most accounts saying Nicks was the more promiscuous. Fleetwood Mac was a great group, and I personally love their music, but their interpersonal dynamics were totally f*tucked up with no good or innocent people between them. But they did make great music.

@yashmindeoliveira4392 Lindsey Buckingham said it didn't "fit" the rest of the album. So, it was not included in the album. Look, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks had a very toxic and volatile relationship. Don't doubt they were passionate for one another and maybe even at one time loved one another but they were BOTH bad for each other. They cheated on one another, with most accounts I heard saying that Nicks was the more promiscuous. Bluntly, the idea that Nicks somehow "made" Buckingham play the song is a silly made-up feminist rewrite of history.

I think Silver Springs is one of Fleetwood Mac's greatest songs period. The crazy thing is that the song wasn't even included in the original Rumours album that was released. I've read that other members of Fleetwood Mac thought the song was too negative, and that they didn't have enough room to include the song. Originally the only way you could get the song was as a single B side I believe. When they re-released Rumours, they included Silver Springs on the whole album. This performance on The Dance concert probably is the greatest live performance by Fleetwood Mac ever.
@randypowers25034 ай бұрын
Again,it had nothing to do with negativity. The song simply was too long to fit on the album and that’s why they went with I Don’t Want Know.Rumours was made before digital recordings were available

Stevie said she held back emotionally during rehearsals.....for a better effect. His song ",Go Your Own Way" was written about Stevie, and it was hard for her to have to sing that she just wanted to sleep around "packing up, shacking up is all you want to do".The tension made for one of the all time best records. Also had to be awkward for John to have play on Christine's 'You Make Loving Fun" which was written about her affair with one of the crew. The whole album is great yet filled with so much tension....In "Gold Dust Woman" Stevie sings the line "rulers make bad lovers" (Lindsey wanted things his way) Their dysfunction certainly made for good music

This song she wrote back in the seventies and it was CUT from Rumours. They hadn’t preformed the song in over 13 years, hadn’t even performed together for almost 10- so this song that was so personal and her voice in the breakup was essentially shelved all that time. Boom- they reunite for The Dance & tour and this was their first non rehearsal live. Stevie is a savage. She exercises ALL those relationship deamons in those moments and is a mf queen!!! 💯💯

They broke up many years before. That performance was choreographed. Lindsay encouraged Stevie to sing it so passionately. Stevie actually was the one who left Lindsay not saying Lindsay was without fault but Stevie broke it off with Lindsay and then had a fling with Mick Fleetwood the drummer who eventually dumped Stevie for one of Stevie’s girl friends. Lindsay later on got into a relationship with a photographer and married her.
