Man that sure so nostalgic. I was there in Koisuru Fortune Cookie era. This dance was everywhere in every Japanese events/festival, flash mobs happens everytime they play this as BGM, even at my campus, we looove to dance to this song. I'm sure the whole world had their Fortune Cookie era (at least for the Japanese/idols lovers community). Back then I didn't like idol girls, but this song and the dance were so addictive.

Just wanna let you know that AKB48 and all the other J-idol groups' music are just one aspect of what we call J-pop. Idol music is a part of J-pop. There are also a lot of solo artists and groups and bands that are also J-pop, and a lot of anime openings and endings are also J-pop. It's a really wide variety of music. A lot of people, especially from those who only think of something like Kpop when they hear or think of "Asian Pop Music", has this misconception that J-pop is just idol music, like the 48/46 idol groups But, yeah, just letting that out ^_^ AND nothing wrong with idol music. I love AKB (mostly the 1st gens and the recent ones) and Nogizaka46 (when Ikuta Erika was still there) ^_^ haha
AKB48 was the GOAT man... I wish Nick can react to Keyakizaka46 too, their MV is crazy good either!! Great music, amazing dancing skill and great performance!!!

You've been listening to lot of J-Pop and J-Rock/Metal since you first started your anime journey lol An example of J-Pop would be artists like YOASOBI, Aimer, Yama, Ado, Vaundy, etc. AKB48 is a very old but popular and legendary idol group in Japan. This genre is categorized as a sub-genre of J-Pop called, "Idol Pop" which is still J-Pop but singers or groups like AKB48 are distinctively known as "Idol Pop." Japanese idol culture is a real monster to try to describe in full detail so I'm not gonna. I'll let someone else do that if they want lol

It is unforgettable that the girls brightened up Japan, which still bears the scars of the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011. This song and dance was very popular at the time. I am using a translator, so I apologize if there are any rudeness

When I say I love KFC I meant I love Koisuru Fortune Cookie! Lmao I love AKB48's songs they're bops❤ My recommendations are - #Sukinanda - Oogoe Diamond - Kibouteki Refrain and the latest one - Aidoru Nanka Janakattara
Best kept secret in the music world: AKB48, with literally hundreds of members AND songs. A rabbit hole worth exploring.
