Check out man in black if you haven't yet. That'll explain a lot about who Johnny cash was as a person. Especially during the time and mindset he wrote the song. When you do the right thing even when you don't have to, when it's not expected of you, when nobody would say anything if you didn't that shows what's truly in your heart. I would say we need more like him these days but there wasn't a lot like him back in those days.

Most of the people in the video, are famous musicians, who enjoy fame and wealth. My understanding is, even with the fame and material fortune, we accumulate over the years. Unless we come to know Jesus as our Lord and ask for forgiveness, He will cut us down. Without true repentance, we will remain separated from God.
