I debated back and forth between cutting this video down and cutting out me crying, but I decided that leaving it in shows my real, raw, and authentic reaction and that we shouldn’t be ashamed of showing emotion 💜

I tear up every time I hear it… and I’m an old British guy and we just don’t do that. It’s like being plugged directly into his pain. Even the measure of hope at the end comes with a raw edge. Hearing it at the time left me wondering if he could really make it through. In hindsight I can say, ‘yes, it was OK, he came to a better place’, but oh, boy…

This song made Yoongi my bias. I love it so much, but I can't listen to it too often because it hits a little too close to home for me, since I've also struggled with similar issues. I'm glad that he seems more content and happy these days.

This song always makes me cry, you can feel the emotion he put into it, and the fact that he was even able to talk about this makes me respect and admire him even more than I already do. It also made me want to give him a hug.

Probably the most raw and real song I’ve heard. Ever. I am so glad hes here with us today and he’s actually happy now. Can you imagine hearing your parents say they don’t know you anymore? It’s so immensely painful what he went through 🤚🏼 this man actually made me cry as well, but you can see through this he also grew into someone who knows and is wise in the ways of the world, he understands a lot of the population of the world because he’s gone through it on a very very deep level, from poverty to severe mental health to just trying to survive... “Trying to sleep on the bathroom floor” has a much deeper meaning that doesn’t get caught due to translation but I’m sure you know what it means.

Sweetie, your sensitivity and caring personality is going to make you a special and spectacular nurse. I know because I was the same way and I loved my nursing career. But becareful not to lose those qualities that make you the person that you are. I worked in Hospice for a while and by the end of a 1 1/2 years , losing 13 people to terminal illnesses, it slowly changed me in some ways. Now I am only nurse to my family as my husband is battling early onset dementia at age 48. We need nurses to be empathetic to the patients without prejudices. Good luck Sweetheart. Please stay true to you and advocating for listeners to get help, if they need it.💜🇺🇲

Slaps me in the face every time....I still tear up when I hear it. I relate to you saying you wish you could take these feelings away for people who have them. My son suffers from depression and social anxiety, and also has compulsive behaviors like Suga talks about in the song. My hardest lesson as his mom has been to realize that I can't fix it....I can't take it from him and make him better...

His song Daechwita actually ties into this one. He says in this song that Min Yoongi is dead, he killed him. The Suga that was born out of the death of Min Yoongi became a tyrant, a Mad King. His greed and need for power was overtaking him, so, in Daechwita, he killed the Mad King part of himself. The one that's left is the true Min Yoongi, returning to who he really is without all of the craving for "a big house, big cars and big rings". This is a narrative spread over many of their songs, especially his lines in "Magic Shop" and the visuals in the MV for Daechwita.

There's one lyric that needs some more translation imo, it originally goes "I was born out of Han, look at me" - here it's omitted when said the first time for some reason and then translated as "I was born by resentment". Han is a Korean term that's much bigger than that. Acc to doolset, "Han is a mix of sorrow, nostalgia, anger, pain, and hope. It’s the emotional journey and state of mind of someone who has been gravely wronged but is powerless (made powerless) in society to take revenge but decides eventually to cling to the hope of a better future when you overcome your Han." Fits much better, don't you think?) Doolset gives a reference and doesn't even translate the word, leaving the word Han.

BTS members were not really competing with others for a position during their trainee days. They were auditioned and taken into the group. I think there were a couple others who left. Yoongi in fact did not want to be in the group as an idol, he wanted to be a producer and was taken as such by Bangpd. Your reaction choked me too. 💜
@loredell3 жыл бұрын
Yes, his social phobia started (on top of the other issues) when he auditioned and signed with BigHit (he says 18, so in SK terms was 2010) I saw a clip from a JP interview recently where he says when he saw NJ in a video and what he did 2010 and prior he was impressed but thought "I can take him". And as endearing as it is listening to both talk about that and Joonie smiling... Can you imagine? He was already comparing himself to another member. I'm glad that turn out for the best and they adore and respect each other so much T-T I guess you know what the censored part is. Also about the concert he had to skip/cancel. I think you read his letter in the fancafe (I think you saw it in a tweet)? So heartbreaking. He's so precious. The screaming adlibs... Also, I'm glad he talks about this in different songs with different perspectives as he reflects on it and grows older. The line about Show me the money is a bit weird there, he meant he got invited (the rapper survival show) but he didn't want to do it, whereas the haters/the ones who talked sh*t about him and BTS saying they wouldn't make it/they weren't hiphop or rap it's not that they didn't go, but they never got invited because they "couldn't" (they didn't have the ability). I love he reassures us (as well as f&f) that he's ok now. He knows that if we listen we'll get worried. As with Butter comeback and later, everytime showing us his shoulder is ok T-T I love him so much. Check out: doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/2018/06/01/the-last/ I checked in case those were the ones used, but no, I find them clearer ^^

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. This one is powerful. It has been a long time since I heard it last. I cried with u pal. Yoongi is amazing because he is currenting in college studying to be a psychologist. He always shared his mental health struggles because in Korea so many are dying. He feels and I agree to heal u got to talk about it. U got to dive deep and understand yourself and learn about your trauma. It's a hard journey. And in the end u have to love yourself most of all. I feel so happy for him that he met the other guys. They make him smile and laugh so much. He is learning from them and teaching them. Their synergy is such a beautiful thing to behold. I love the sounds he adds when he raps. he is so clever. I deal with anxiety and depression. My bday is right after Suga's. We Pisces are emotional ppl. I also used to work as a peer for 9 1/2 yrs. I met some amazing ppl with SMI. Peer support is so vital. I love seeing Yoongi's journey. His a tough guy but a softie too. His my wrecker for a reason, nods. I got great taste don't I. =0p stay safe. Hugs. Love u too! #YouAreEnough -NY USA Army 💜

OK, I'll leave it here, hehe, BUT I do recommend from the same mixtape: 140503 at dawn and from D-2 PLEASE listen to interlude: set me free. You won't regret it (2min). You can react to those if you so wish. Can I suggest something? Whenever you find time to film (now with going to school and all), why don't you dive in the mixtapes? maybe 1 per week? and whenever you listen to mono (if you haven't) try doing it in order :) RM - AgustD - Hopeworld - mono - D-2 You are beautiful! Take care and have fun! ^^

Oh baby Lana you broke my heart 🥺 yes ….the way he sings, the way he built his song, crescendo… first time I heard it, my daughter made me listen to it in my car… no lyrics, just Yoongi and us 2, and it crushed my heart, it was physically painful. I asked her : what happened to him ??? She told me it was his life. When I read the lyrics later on, I understood… yep, it’s good to cry sometimes, things have to get out 😘
