There is a video (in Spanish but it does have subtitles as I recall) of Pau doing a formal presentation before an audience that includes her playing drums. During that she uses a midi keyboard and her computer to demonstrate how she composes a song and creates some raw stems in the process. From there she says she presents a rough demo to Ale and Dany who change it into its final form before they record it. They have trouble composing in Spanish because their lyrics are usually in iambic pentameter, which is the natural, base rhythm of English. Spanish has a different pattern of stressed and unstressed syllables, and often there are more syllables necessary to say something. If you notice, at the beginning of Martirio, Dany slides through a couple of words in Spanish, forcing it, because it doesn't exactly fit with the beat of the backing music. It sounds fine, but the first time you hear it you can tell she is rushing through the line. If it happens elsewhere in the song it's not as noticeable.

​@@CarlD70The sisters have talked about the fact they compose in English because Spanish is much more difficult for what they want to do lyrically. However, they also said they verbally communicate in Spanish when at home and doing writing sessions between tours.

I think Six Feet Deep got cut short, sounds like Dany got cut off mid sentence. It's only around a minute and the rest are 2 to 3 minutes.

Thanks Cindy and Ryan...this is a great interview and great information from the Ladies. Funny, but what you said about us English speakers singing along to the Spanish songs is quite true. I have listened to them enough now that I can actually sing along pretty well in Spanish, kind of proud of myself as it is a beautiful language. Another note, watching their concerts in Mexico, and they are singing predominantly in English, the Spanish speakers in Mexico sing along in English...I think that is great. Love the Vid.
