Prince is amazing 💜 He taught himself to play over 20 instruments and is a guitar God. I was lucky enough to see him live over 20 times. If you want to react to another Prince video check out Let's Go Crazy next. It's more guitar shred and a fun rock/funk video

Prince definitely makes this performance. He has so much charisma not only in his performance but also in his sound alone. 😂😂 Here are a few other Prince performances that are also just a lot of fun to watch: 2005 NAACP Performance - it’s definitely worth it to watch the full 16-minute video with the award presentation to learn more about him as an artist It’s Gonna Be a Beautiful Night All the Critics Love U in Montreux Cream/Well Done/Hit U in the Socket live at Glam Slam in 92 - Also, the 1999/Baby I’m a Star/Push medley from this show is also super hype. And the performance of Insatiable from this show is a good example of a ballad. Start there and get back to me. 😂😂😂

This was Prince's proof that he should've been named in the Top 100 guitarists of all time (he wasn't). The song was a Beatles classic. George Harrison had already passed away when this induction ceremony happened, so they played one of his songs, with his son in the background. Also included are the amazing Jeff Lynn of ELO, Steve Winwood on piano, Tom Petty on vocals as well. And then Prince made his statement. Love the look on Prince's face when he turns to Tom like, "you want more? I got more!" That guitar he tossed at the end is in Heaven with him. RIP Prince, Tom Petty. The Prince rabbit hole is long. As a fan since 1979, I find it interesting to start at the beginning (listen to For You - it's just his voice singing the parts. That was his first song. Astounding at age 19.) Of course there's Purple Rain - any song off there is a winner. Ditto that for Sign O' The Times. Starting with earlier stuff, and working your way forward in time, you can hear the new sounds he was getting out of his equipment, and can almost note when a song on an album doesn't match any others - he probably wrote it years previously, which is why it sounds different. My favorite song, depending on the day, is "Good Love." Sung in his "Camille" voice (sped up), it's just a happy tune.

I’m sure you’ll get lots of recommendations so I’ll stick to some live performances… America, The Question of U, Shh, Motherless Child, Play That Funky Music/Hollywood Swinging/Fantastic Voyage, Nothing Compares 2 U (Glam Slam performance), Love Bizarre (from the Parade Tour with Sheila E), anything from the 2009 Montreux Jazz Fest shows (my favorites are Empty Room/Elixer, Little Red Corvette, and All the Critics Love You), and any performance of Purple Rain. They are all brilliant and different each time. I love the 1985 American Music Awards performance.

the problem is that guitar musicians never listen to Prince cause critics wanted to present him as pop as MJ could be but Prince was 1000 times more than MJ in terms of musicality in pop and as a rocking giant was just as Hendrix could be if he lived more. Then you got his jazz and blues and he is off the hook as santana is and on funk is as James Brown could be and iinnovative as Miles Davis. Still you remember his songs ...Kiss. The best ones are not the mainstream and all iin live sets. He said music does nt need to be perfect but different

I made a playlist on here called "Prince: The Modern Mozart". 57 songs. I made sure not to include the typical hits. Every few songs includes some serious guitar work. Liking EVERY Prince song is practically impossible but I happen to like these. I tried to make a list that showcased his musical range.

If you like great guitar work by prince I suggest Prince’s entire “2007 half time Super Bowl set” done in the rain and ruined all the guitars played. Prince’s cover of Creep (Radiohead) Coachella. Prince’s “little red corvette” live montreux 2009 concert. If you want showmanship and a funky Prince time I suggest “ D.M.S.R live musicology tour in Detroit 2004” or “the question of U musicology tour 2004”, or “Prince live play that funky music/ Hollywood swinging.”
