True story...one evening Elvis was driving around Memphis and saw a young black couple struggling to carry bags of groceries down the sidewalk. Elvis picked them up and after taking them to their home, gave them his car. It was a brand new Cadillac. That is how Elvis was.
@truckertriesfarming97924 жыл бұрын
There's another story of Elvis being at the Cadillac dealership, and saw a black lady staring at a Caddy on the showroom floor. He spoke to her for a few minutes, then bought her the car that she was looking at. I've also read that if you complimented a piece of his jewelry, he'd tell the story behind it, then give it to you. He was a generous guy.

He was one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, showmen of all time. He left it all on the stage every time; no one ever said that Elvis just 'mailed this one in'. One of a kind. Yes, he had good knees; he was also a legit black belt in karate among his many accomplishments. This was Elvis at his entertaining best; if you want to see a completely different kind of performance, check out If I Can Dream from the 1968 comeback special (the white suit version). That song was a tribute to Martin Luther King and the lyrics are just as relevant to what is going on in the world today as it was 52 years ago. Elvis completely pours his soul into that performance.

Elvis always had the coolest moves on stage and on screen. He had those Iconic moves, stances and expressions that moved the audience. Very masculine. Heroic. Romantic. Powerful. I can't think of any artist in history that even compares to the the presence that only he had. You can strip him down with only a guitar, no big stage show, no dancers and pyro. No Disney effects. And he can still show why many think he is the greatest that ever lived. He didn't even try. He was just having fun. He was just being himself. That is true greatness.

Hands down the best review I've ever seen. First there's the "What do I do" line. I nearly choked on the sandwich I was eating. Then there's the " You're gonna get the air pregnant" line lmao. Elvis was quite the entertainer. I myself am starting to watch a lot of his performances and listening to his music. I'm in my 40s and like most people my age I knew about Elvis but I was never a big fan. But i didn't dislike him either. Just grew up with different music. But my parents loved him. More my mother of course. Now I appreciate and recognize why he is called the King. He was amazing live. He can dance and sing and make it look easy. But its not. None of today's artists can do that without lypsynching. Even the young artists. He did this until he was in his 40s. And he was an even better human being. Gave so much to the poor and he did so much for the black community. A cool cat with a giving heart. You da man Elvis. Well deserving of all the praise 🙌👏

He basically was also the band director and early on when he's looking over his right shoulder starting to do those dance moves, he's interacting with his drummer who is just totally going nuts. And he loves messing with the Sweet Temptations oh, and there is some rehearsal footage here and there where is interacting with his band including them and some of it is downright hilarious. I mean they do really hard professional work but they also clown around and have a good time. And they do it on stage as well. And the audience just eats it up. I also think it's funny at the beginning when he looks at a woman out in the audience and says, what you looking at? And the ladies scream. Laugh.

When Elvis first starting appearing on T.V producers only filmed him waist up they told him to stop moving his hips but he said he couldn't. That he didn't know why he did it he said it was just something he did while singing and didn't realize it. So it wasn't until later in his career that he was filmed entirely that's why someone started calling him Elvis the pelvis!

I absolutely love watching you react to these Great Singers before you were born just imagine how it was to actually see them. I saw Elvis in 1972 you couldn't take your eyes off of him because you were scared of missing something. Keep giving us your reactions you have about 3 decades to do. Love You

I’ve watched this over and over again and laugh each and every time. Two things: First ... I saw Elvis in concert and I’ve watched all of his televised concerts. Sometimes when doing this song, usually closer to the end when he’s gettin’ a little tired and he slows the tempo a bit, when he goes down on his right knee, he sings, “I’m caught in a trap, I can’t get up” 🤣 Second ... the lightning bolt on your “It’s Brilliant” merchandise. A lightning bolt with the initials TCB (Taking Care of Business) was Elvis’s logo.

An entire show in one song! Imagine the entire concert and how much soul and energy he was bringing in. Amazing ♥️

Such a great reaction and especially how you get higher as every second goes on 😂 he was also a black belt in karate so that’s what he used on a lot of his moves on stage as well as his own trademark moves
@annestewart14964 жыл бұрын
Literally getting higher - how come no one is commenting that he is smoking a scube & obviously getting higher as the clip goes on - also doesn’t seem to be to good at it coz he has to keep relighting it 😂

Anne Stewart Yeh his rolling skills must be shocking shouldn’t have to keep relighting a joint😂😂

Elvis was an 8th Degree Black Belt in karate. He took down legendary world heavy weight Champion of the World, Muhammed Ali, with one leg swipe . Ali always praised himself as being pretty, he also said his friend Elvis was pretty

Polk Salad Annie needs to be next lol. You just witnessed the King of Rock. He was in the Army, and into Karate. He conducts the band with his moves if you didn't notice. When you get to Polk Salad Annie you can see the Army reference. Thanks.

Shows how much control he had over the band and back up singers. All his moves told them something he wanted them to do.

A lot of those moves are inspired by his decades of martial arts. His skills are legit and he was a man not to be messed with! Elvis was just way beyond COOL!!!

Hey Elvis gave it 100% every night, he brought his best because he was the King

You witnessed the King of Rock 'n Roll! who had God given talent in voice & body, but mostly in soul!.His moves were never vulgar but, in the fifties , they were not used to.folks moving to the music ! Elvis changed all that! When asked about his moves when he was young,he didn't even know why everybody was screaming! He simply said.that he just naturally moved to the music!, He was a good Christian boy who eventually won many awards for his gospel music ! Like Michael Jackson, his music came straight from his soul ! Also like Michael Jackson his talent changed the face of music & had a cultural impact like no other ! Elvis never travelled to Europe ,but was known all.over the world ,long before we had computers & social media! So glad that you got to see him in action! Thanks for such a great, sincere ,natural & honest reaction to this icon! You ought to watch Elvis do "Polk Salad.Annie" & "Fever"! I think that you might enjoy listening to another icon, Freddie Mercury ,as well!
