Elvis had a very great way of communicating to his performers and background singers. They had to be VERY perfect.

Do you know why they started saying “Elvis has left the building” ? Cuz during earlier performances the crowd, females mostly would hop on to the stage to get a piece of him & would rip his clothes off him, fight over stuff to get a piece of him. Elvis & his band would have to run off & run to the cars to get away. So, by them saying “ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING”, hopefully the crowd would not continue to destroy.
