TWICE is such a unique phenomenon in the kpop industry: defying the 7 year curse, being the best selling female kpop girl group of all time, selling out stadiums globally especially in venues never touched by female groups ever. They have over 200+ songs in Korean Japanese and now recently English. Give them a chance. Really really fun feel good music. The song titles and mvs are deceptive cuz the lyrics are often very deep and even touch on sensitive topics if you listen carefully

Great reaction. Your point about this song not feeling like kpop, i felt the exact same way, ex. no rap, all english. They are 9 years in and one of the most senior girlgroups now, they do they own thing with their own style. the best way to think of twice is not as a kpop group, but just a seasoned, professional artists who just make really good music. If you take the time you will find a treasure trove of amazing songs. they have 300+ songs now at this point

If you decide to take the dive you won't be sorry but you are watching the Queens of K-pop turn into a pop group (no hate ONCE's you know it's true), which is why you don't hear a K-pop song. The last pre release was also an all English song Moonlight Sunrise and they won Billboard Breakthrough Artist of 2023, notice a trend. The member you fell in love with is are Taiwanese Maknae (youngest) Tzuyu (pronounced Chewy, yea like the big guy) and she's 24, most Kpop artist are about to retire at that age. They have literally and figuratively out grown K-pop. That doesn't mean you won't love their songs Twice IS feel good music, you can't listen to Twice and not smile (and I'm talking about the songs not the visuals but that too). Twice B-sides are where the magic really happens but listen to Moonlight Sunrise or Set me Free to test the waters you won't be sorry or as suggested do a guide Who Is Twice (The Living legends) by jaytzuu is the most informative and not that old, it is 47 mins so a bit long for most new ONCE's. ONCE's love to help baby ONCE's so if you take the dive you will have lots of ONCE's to help you out, even me.
