An amazing concert, I was 4 rows from the stage. No access to the bar for me, I would have lost my place, it was hard enough to find space to raise my arms but what an experience.

Glad you got to see them. I’d been to the four club dates up to to that point but had to come back from Europe a day early because I was sick, so though I had a ticket, there was just no way I could have gone to the Garage. But I have Tokyo in September to look forward to. Seeing and hearing really is believing isn’t it!

JROCK/JPOP songs are based on the complexity of melodies and chord progressions and the reliance on background stories. I think it's hard for Western metallers to get used to this. They make a big impact at first, but are gradually forgotten. However, because lovebites follows Western music theory, the complexity of JROCK is restrained and the songs are easy to remember because they use a lot of repetition.

Pretty much all of these current top all-female J-Metal bands, of which there are a lot, are awesome live, but I’m especially looking forward to LOVEBITES in San Francisco. Will they eclipse Hanabie who are current number ones based on raw energy and brilliant music. Can LOVEBITES pull it off with musicianship and polish?

I was able to see both Hanabie and Lovebites at small clubs in Europe at the rail. Both great, Hanabie for energy, enthusiasm, and chaos. Lovebites for polish and technical musicianship. Maybe a tiny edge to Lovebites for me. I got a lot of attention from Yukina, Matsuri, Chika, Asami, and Miyako. I think being one of the few Asian dudes in the audience helped!
