MJ was/is the complete package of how an NBA player should be physically and mentally...he worked his butt off to turn any of his weaknesses into strengths so that he could do the things he wanted to do on the courts for a full 82 game season, for his career as well....there have been many players since MJ played that had some of the same qualities, but never had the FULL arsenal of offense/defense/clutchness/mental & physical durability-toughness that MJ had....Wilt's my favorite player because he had a lot of those same traits that MJ had, just not all of them...if only LeBron was as athletic and mentally tough as MJ...I'm hoping we get the chance to see someone achieve or surpass everything MJ accomplished in 13 Full Seasons of basketball in the NBA so that today's generation can say they saw greatness in person/on TV/on streaming services/etc....although it wouldn't be exactly the same because MJ did what he did and accomplished all of those amazing achievements during the toughest era in the NBA (next to the 1980's) - when defenses could get away with beating up/roughing up a player without getting ejected, much. cool reaction video!✌👽💯💥

I was lucky enough to see him live multiple times as I grew up in Chicago. I sat courtside at a game where Mike scored 64 vs Orlando with Shaq but they lost the game. I remember Pippen taking the ball out of bounds and he was so close to me I could slightly reach and touch him if I wanted to. I also went to a game where Rodman had 29 rebounds. My brother and father were lucky enough to go to game 6 of the 97 Finals where Kerr hit the title winning shot. I went to a playoff game vs the Knicks also. Me and 3 friends bought standing room only tickets and snuck down to 1st balcony and found 4 empty seats 👍In the 2009 my father got season tickets to the Bulls so I was able to see Kobe play and Lebron live the next few years. To me there is no comparison, Mike is the goat. And id take Kobe over Lebron any day of the week.

The crazy thing to me about mj is that he was so famous around the world he was expected to put on these shows every night in every city he was in because it was him people went to see even in there home towns they wanted mike more and he always lived up to that pressure night in and night out and thats one thing nobody else has had to deal with he was lirterly the most loved person in the world and it wasnt even close everybody wanted a peice of mike 🤟

Imagine watching this in person? I did, and even though I'm a Lakers fan since Magic's rookie season, without hesitation I proclaim MJ to be the GOAT. I find it laughable that they try to compare mere mortals to him. Jordan was Kobe on PEDs. I once saw him change direction midair against the Clippers at that old LA Sports Arena. What my 20/20 vision witnessed is like nothing it had seen before or after him. If there was one player today with half of MJ's moves I would renew my NBA League Pass ASAP.

MJ is the GOAT, but I gotta say (and I'm showing my age here), I went to High School with Magic Johnson, and beyond being an amazing passer, he controlled the game in ways that you can't count in statistics and you can't see in mixtapes. MJ is the most amazing athlete to play the game, but I feel sorry for people who never saw Magic play. He understood and played the game in ways that just baffle you. That's why he was called Magic.

He was gone from Oct 93 until march 1995. When you were is this the same game, it was the 1993 Finals. He was tied for highest vert (48") with a player from the Jazz in the 80's, but he got his shit measured at the 84 olympics. He coach in those olympics bobby knight who is a top 3-4 all time college coach said he had easily 50-51" in him but he was measured after a practice. Many have said he had the biggest hands pound for pound, and maybe the strongest grip, it's why he does all that crazy shit with the ball one handed. Reggie miller has said running into shaq or Jordan felt the same, he called him mini shaq as you couldn't move both. Another thing people don't know or talk about is his energy level. During the dream team in 92, guys said he would be gone all night with like barkley or other players gamble, drink and shit all night, they'd get back 4-5am, he'd get like 2-4 hours sleep, and while they were half asleep all day, he was fresh as fuck playing like he ate well and got 8-10 hours of sleep. Bulls teammates have said he never looked out of it, or tired, always full of energy. That has to be genetics or something, because those teammates would mention he would party a lot of nights, and was fine the next day. Guy was a genetic freak whose body was like made in a lab built for basketball. When you said the shoes he has on right there, 60K, those were the first jordans, and that game was the last game he ever played in madison square garden, January 97. He said they were horrible to wear, and his feet were killing him all night lol. I didn't watch Jordan play in the 80's, I was young as fuck, but I recorded just about every game from 91 until the 98 finals. I have hundreds of VHS tapes of bulls games. I watched many of the games over and over and I just got to know his game better then 99% of the people who watched him. NO one can wash his underwear, forget tying his shoes.

That game was in *March 1998* and it was in honor of what he thought could be his last game at MSG and was a spur of the moment thing. As we all know he wound up returning a few times when he played for Washington. Also the whole partying thing is pretty exaggerated. Dennis Rodman was the party animal and he was like jordan in that aspect where he seemed to always have energy no matter what.

Ewing averaged 2.4 blocks for his career, with a high of 4 blocks a game in 1989. he also is like 2nd ALL time with 30 blocks in a Finals series and most in a game (8 blocks), tho im not sure if that still holds up today., point is Ewing was a monster defensive center and he wasnt even the best back then.. Centers back then actually TRIED to block shots. sometimes they did.. sometimes they didnt. check out Alonzo Mourning and David Robinson for more of the same.

I always found it odd that most people say MJ's fadeaway was his greatest weapon when in reality it was just what he had to do cuz he was getting older and lost some of his hops. Young MJ had the layup package of a god. He had moves within moves and countermoves in midair the same way Kyrie does on the ground with his handles. That shit was completely unguardable. Once you're up in the air with MJ, doesn't matter if you're bigger and taller than him cuz he is taller than you in the air with that 48' inch vert.

What's crazier to me than 72-10 is that the next year they were 69-13 with Scottie Pippen having an injured back during most of the end of the season and they were on Pace for like 75 wins before that

What’s even crazier, the Bulls won 54 games without Jordan when he retired. As good as Jordan was, he had a great supporting cast and Pippen was an all-star

@@ryanc9888 not saying they didn't but most championship teams can still win 50 games without their best player as long as nothing else changes. The problem is that when their best player leaves they usually blow up the entire team as well.
