So... I can't believe I am finally sharing this video with you guys. BUT Jesse and I have finally have our own truck!!! Here is our reaction the first time we saw it!

I love seeing how other countries approach things in the horse world. “Truck” means something entirely different in the USA and we haul our horses so differently. Beautiful truck, y’all! Congrats.

Taylor Harkness yeah do u guys have massive trailers? U only really get very small trailers or horse boxes based on what u guys call a semi(I think?) or vans in the UK

Lottie i do think our US trailers tend to be bigger than those in Europe. I think it’s mostly because we have what we call ‘trucks’ that can haul a lot of weight and we are able to use these bigger trucks and trailers because we have wider roads in the US when compared to Europe. A ‘van’ or ‘horse box’ is extremely rare in the US and I’ve only seen one in my life time in the US, but saw them everywhere in Europe. I also think what plays a role in trailer size is the amount of horses. Most people who trailer horses have 3 or more at a time. It is often more cost effective to have a truck pull a trailer that can accommodate up to 6 horses (some even hold 9!) then it would be to have a horse ‘van’ or whatever it would be called(don’t know if the name changes when a horse is placed perpendicular to the rode versus being parallel?). Those are just some of the generalizations I’ve picked up on :)

Yeah 😂 as an Aussie this is so weird because we normally tow a smallish trailer for 2 or 3 horses and they get towed by 4WDs most the time (smaller than your American trucks but better off-road)

You should get her a well trained miniature horse in a few years! It’d be a great way for you to learn about horses and how they behave too. If you’re in the US, I’d recommend getting involved with 4-H. That’s how I got started and I learned a ton from joining the miniature horse club.

@@bippy201 And just to add on, make sure you know how to care for a mini bc they can have a lot of health issues so do your research. Also, make sure your granddaughter learns too. This can't be a pony phase that she goes through and then gets fed up with. She needs to commit to looking after the pony as well and learn how to care for a horse. Hope this helps

Your very lucky to have such wonderful friends to help you with the decision making to make it your own. Having a horse trailer that is your own helps when you travel to shows and clinics and vets so when your horse is comfortable that’s half the battle however I didn’t see much room for hay and feed and your tack?

When I haul my horses I always bring water from home it encourages them to drink familiar water

whoahotcowgirl01 ......Horses from rural areas will not drink chlorinated town water, and even between towns the water is different, they are fussy and can die of it, or tie up from dehydration. Good idea is to carry your own water, but press the point before you use it, try and get them accustomed to drinking anything, but do use your own if they staunchly refuse.

I have a two horse truck and the best thing i like about ours is that it has a little window between the cabin and the horses so they can hear us. I have notised a difference between being in ours and a friends ,who doesnt have a window but do have a camera, thay seen alot more chiled out. My Spanish horse sweets like no tomorrow when traveling but is better when we talk to him and also loves lissening to the music to. i also love to colour of your truck.

A small portable fridge is always good for long journeys to keep drinks/ snacks cool...you can also get heating elements that can plug into a car lighter socket to heat water in a mug for hot drinks on long journeys. A plastic box with travel essentials like long life snacks and drinks, kitchen roll first aid kit ,sun screen ,disposable cutlery and plates for take away meals, note book, pens,wet wipes or disinfectant wipes, torch and spare batteries and chargers , large zip lock plastic bags and a pocket knife is always good , just refill after every trip and you are prepared for most things.

Red will help other drivers see you and be more safe. I hope the stickers are MUCH better quality than my trailer. I do not have covered parking for it. It's a 2011 and the stickers have faded and are peeling, so I wouldn't choose them again. Exciting, quality truck! Congratulations!

The truck is perfect! My only advice would be to wait before filling it up with stickers. It's easy to make it look too busy so the important info isn't easy for people to see or read when the truck is moving. I LOVE the stallion divider! It looks as though your boys will be perfectly safe in there and have a comfortable ride every time. Congratulations! :)

Hey guys if you wanted something a little funny you could have like the round silouhette of a horses behind with the tail and underneath have "if you see my tail you're too close" a bit of safety mixed with humour. I definately think you should use the whole of youre channel start logo you with the horses and next to you have Jesse and the rest of the horses and have you're names sort of as a canopy over the top of you all. I'm sure whatever you both decide will be beautiful, stylish and very chic!!. I love this truck! I have a trailer that holds 4 horses but every time I take my horses anywhere I worry so much when we go around curves my butt practically chews a hole in the seat. This looks like a much safer way to haul them. Congratulations! 🍾🎈🎊
