1.50 for Soda and hot dog is the BEST deal in town, plus same price worldwide. I worked at warehouse #1 for several years and got to meet Jim Sinegal of was the nicest, which he always promised to never change the price of the hot dog. And in Canada, you can get Poutine!!!

We have the hot dog and soda for $1.50 in the US, and pizza slices are $1.99. We also get their cups of ice cream for $2 when I'm out with the kids. We don't have the potatoes, but I wish we did. I think the chicken bake is $3.99...I tried it once, not a fan. Nothing fancy, or very healthy, but when you're out and about it's the best deal going.

Finally! A take away people in the US can identify with! I didn't know Costco was all over the world. It all started here in the Seattle area. I don't think they sell the baked potato and beans here, but everytrhing else you ate I've eaten. I recently discovered the delicious fruit smoothy (mostly strawberries)..

As someone who lives near a Costco, it is incredible value for its hot dog snd pizza. Is it a 10/10? No, but taking the price into factor its a solid 9 in terms of value. I don't eat it often but you always know what you're getting with their stuff and it's consistent, filling and tasty.

I wish we had some of the items on our COSTCO Canada menu. Especially those taters. We get hot dogs, pepperoni or cheese pizza, fries, gravy, chicken fingers. The hot dog, pepperoni pizza, and fries with gravy are excellent. And all at a great price. Hot dog and a Pepsi is $ 1.50 CAD.

Had some friends over one day, decided to stop and pick up a pizza at Costco. The lines were much longer than normal in their food court, but they had a big sign posted that read "Next time, call your order in ahead," and it gave the phone number. Why wait? I called and placed my order from the back of the line and by the time I reached the counter it was ready. Costco isn't the best food you'll find around town, but it's good and certainly a great value.

Costco in Australia have a different menu,hotdogs are$1.99 with drink and pizza slice $2.99, we have never had baked potato, but have had chicken bakes but not at the moment,they have steak pies and chicken tenders and chips. Great value but so many people complain about the wait, but they go at the busiest times. We enjoy watching your videos and get very jealous with some of the places you visit.

Amazed the Leeds drinks machine is working properly but come on Danny, as an old school Costco visitor surely you remember when the potato toppings were done right? You opened the (rectangular) box and it was a brick of potato and toppings with no air gap, they're having us on with the jackets these days and they're not £2 any more, if they were the little Jersey Royal wouldn't be so bad. The hot dogs rescue things every time, the pizza is still OK even though it's not as cheap as it used to be and there's no chilli flakes to be had :) I'm hungry now, thanks.

I've been a Costco (Watford) member in the UK since the late 1990s. I nearly always get something from the Food Hall (even though the wait times can be longer than ideal) I believe the hot dog and coke has remained at £1.50 for years. They might even lose money on it at that price.

They definitely lose money on it. The price of almost everything else (food in particular) has gone up hugely since the 90's. As a comparison, I remember going to Greggs to get pasties for 30-40p each through the 90's. They're about £2 at the least now, I think. If Costco have held the same price all that time, it must by now be a massive loss leader. You can buy the hot dog sausages they use for these in the store (chilled, in plastic shrink wrap) but I think it's actually cheaper to buy them as complete hot dogs with the drink thrown in at the food court!

Costco is alright. As my business is not VAT registered getting a membership isn't feasible. I used COSTCO all the time when I lived in Korea. Some folks would go to have the COSTCO salad. COSTCO SALAD is just load up on the free stuff. The free stuff would be a load of onions (free), a load of ketchup (free), a little Mustard... You get the idea. I just used to shop there for buying in bulk. I would fill up my freezer with good value. Just don't buy a TV from Costco, rubbish TV and much cheaper to buy online or even at Curries!

The crazy rules in the UK on becoming a member of Costco are entirely down to the UK government regulation. I never had to show a VAT cert, but I did have a Limited Company registration and bank accounts in the same name. The self employed/company directors get the cheapest membership. Ordinary workers are not allowed any membership at all, unless they happen to be privileged and work for the government, in which case it is perfectly fine. Funny how the government deny oridinary working class access but are more than happy to enjoy such privilege.

Also, if you are not a Costco member and want to shop at Costco, get a Costco gift card for a nominal amount like 20 pounds and then go and shop. They will let you in and when you check out use the gift card and pay cash/credit for the rest of your bill.
