That's our fearless BTS leader. His previous album, called Indigo, came out in Dec 2022. He has so many great collabs on the album such as Erykah Badu and Anderson Paak. His song "YUN" ft Erykah Badu and "Still Life" ft Anderson Paak. My favorite song off his Indigo album is "Wildflower." Also, I would recommend his song "JOKE" and "Do You", which are some of his much earlier songs. Enjoy 💜

RM has had it. The lies hate campaigns and death threats. The government trying to use him like a diplomat and mouth piece for the establishment. Hes rebelling reminding people who he really is. The brakes are off as he says hes ' no monk'. ...... and what we get is an album that has all us little music nerds bouncing for joy. This album is going to be called seminal, a cult classic. This is the real deal. Real RM... Real Music. One minute sounds that remind you of Beetles Psychedelia, turn a corner and its Frank Ocean, Brit rap, there are no brakes here, nothings off limits. The whole album needs to be in order. Its a trip.

The performance was flawless. Immaculate. Fun fact: Jungkook is RM's biggest fan 😂 He joined BigHit because he saw RM was in it, he watched one of his early rap videos and "fell" for him. Mind you, RM was about 18 back then, but was already inspiring people. He's that talented. They later became BTS along with the other 5 members. They're all impossibly talented, we always say it was true destiny that brought them all together.

Here is some extra info on RM for you... Predebut RM, known under the names Runch Randa, Largo, Stealo, and the Nexist in the underground hiphop community was already a prodigy in rap despite being 13years old (he started in the underground scene at 11 years old) impressing other rappers. RunchRanda which basically meant 'I am Runcha', he has said it was inspired by a Maple Story game character he had at the time. He was known to be so good that even older underground rappers in their 20s and 30s didn't wanna battle against him. Also, because of his low-midtone voice, philosophical lyrics and flashy rap skills he gained quite the popularity among hiphop fans. (Jungkook joined the same agency as he had been so impressed the first time he saw RM perform...) Throughout 2008-2010 , RM (Runch Randa or Randa ) was mentioned multiple times by other rappers in their songs mostly complimenting RM or wishing they had skills or fame as him. An example for that is when Zico* made a diss song to Philophon (35yo) who is also a rapper saying "you got your ass handed to you by a 13 yr old Runch" referencing that Philophon already lost to teen Namjoon. RM joined BigHit in 2010 at 15 years old. His audition.was watched by the CEO BangShiHyuk and RM was offered a contract on the spot.... He was 18 when BTS debuted. Also... Have you heard... RM was an underground rapper in Korea in his early teens, he wrote poems when he was 9-12 and started shifting to rap at 13. He fell in love with the culture and studied it, that’s why u can hear it in him. He was the first member of BTS and he’s the team leader, the main songwriter-compser too. What you’re seeing here is personal words in his lyrics, emotions he was bolting in for a long time and now he’s releasing them without a care in the world. Usually he’s known for his crazy pen game. Diversity in his writing styles, Poetry in its finest, wordplay and crazy beats, and different styles of rap you’ll get to see later if ur interested. When it comes to his rap, personally i say he has a sound of tupac, nas, eminem and maybe kendrick? I feel like his rap and voice has a personality.

RMs musical journey through his 4 solo releases has been incredible and fascinating, this newest Album has me loving it the more I listen to and learn about it. All the members of BTS are artistically incredible, bringing different sounds and ideas to the group, it's why they are so popular as a group and individually. I think you'll come to rock with all the members as you delve more into their music because if you love music, they are phenomenal at making fantastic music of a variety of sounds and topics. EDIT : The way the beat in Nuts goes and the way RM flows & sounds on it, I love it so much. One of my favorites so far.

One of my favorite early rap tracks by RM, when he went by Rap Monster, is Do You. He raps over the beat from the Major Lazer/Pharrell track Aerosol Can. Pharrell is one of his influences. They did an interview together for Rolling Stone and we keep expecting a collab that never seems to come.
